I just checked it just now, after having Fx 3 up for about 2 hours.. maybe 3 (leaning on 2) and only had 1 tab opened.. but it's running at around 250MB ... I'll try restarting it with this tab opened and post my results..

EDIT: 55MB freshly opened up - opened up another tab, 61MB

FX 3 has been having some weird issues on my home machine as well when I first got it no problems really snappy but lately it has been slow.

in fact ie x64 under vista ultimate x64 is at least 4X faster which makes me sad

I have heard it’s a major issue with Firefox having high memory usage after a while. I'm not sure if its caused by a memory leak or faulty third party applications or a change in the habits of web users etc.but this article “how to make Firefox use less memory (RAM)” may help you out.
