i have read every post in here and have not seen my particular problem.

 my sound works fine until i plug in my headset.  the sound from the speakers disables correctly, i then recieve the sound in my head phones. all correct except that when i talk through my headset mic, everyone i'm talking to can hear any sound going on my pc at that moment.  if i'm playing a game, they can hear my ingame sound when i am talking. 

my headset has seperate head phones and mic plug ins, and they are both plugged into the correct places.  I've tried using my front panel and rear panel both, and the problem persists.  i was told to mute my output, but when i do that i can't hear anything at all.   I'm assuming there is one setting somewhere that I don't have correct.  I would appreciate any help/advice i can get in the matter.

additional info:  I'm using on board sound, my mobo is ECS 945g-m3, all my sound drivers are up to date.

In the realtek audio control panel there should be options to play with under microphone.   It should be a red speaker i the system tray.  Nose suppression and acoustic echo cancellation.

or if your in vent chane your output to mic instead of what i hear, or in your sound car settings change your mic setting to mic, instead of what u hear.
