    Sound Card Question

Is it possible to connect front panel audio ports to a sound card?  I'm asking because I was looking at the MSI K9N2 Diamond Motherboard that comes with a sound card and was thinking if it was possible to hook up that audio card to some front panel connectors from my pc case.  I'd appreciate an answer to my question. THANKS!!Big Smile

    Re: Sound Card Question

There was an article in the July MaximumPC magazine on how to do this from a X-Fi card but I am not so sure about a motherboard riser sound card.  Page 28 of the July magazine has the story.  MaximumPc's website is always 1 month behind so the article is not online yet, probably will be in the next couple weeks.  It does consist of doing a bit of surgery on the soundcard, it would void the warranty doing it.
