Unless there's more rules elsewhere, I don't see any that would forbid any transactions on Egxpert. (See: http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/33699.aspx.) I wouldn't have any issue myself, with someone wanting to trade or sell off their hardware. I do think that it should be kept in a dedciated folder for such things though. Me thinks it'll just stray from the overall subject of a folder. I'm not sure how Newegg would take these transactions though, I mean they are in the reselling business themselves. But let me just posit a few considerations. Make a bartering folder, but you can only transact items bought from the Egg, and respondants would have to deal via PMs. A person selling is likely to be upgrading or buying new, which in turn, leads to more sales for Newegg. I'm not sure how this would fly, but think it's something worth considering anyways. I do think the issue should be addressed though, so we don't tell people they are doing something they shouldn't, when they can. I would hope though, personal businesses and such would be excluded (And I'm a builder, parts hawker myself!!) I just think if not done right, it'll clutter the folders. Then again, NE may not be too cool with the whole thing, and ban such activities. Which again, I'd be cool with, because I do enjoy and appreciate the forums and the people I've messaged with. I learn so much day in and day out, with besides what I have to offer. I wouldnt' want the cluttered with sale and trading rants, b/c someone got a bad drive or incompatible memory or something. I mean the order issues rant are a bummer enough as it is!
