Given the inactivity in the recently added chat rooms, we would like to get your feeback on this.

I think only one room would be a little bit crowded and difficult to have clear conversations.

Heh... all of the extra rooms were gone, then again no one was ever in them.  I think there could be more rooms. - Eggxpert 01 - N/A
- Eggxpert 02 - Has a script where it auto-opens when Eggxpert 01 (the main channel) becomes over crowded, i.e. 20 people or more, something like that. This way some people can go into there if it gets too hectic.
- Deals Discussion - A room that always remains closed except when there's a lot of hype over a deal... there's no doubt that just one room will get overcrowded and nuts around Black Friday, Christmas, etc. I was thinking the room could be scripted to either auto-open around those times, or allow egg staff to open it when necessary. This way anyone interested in deals can go there to avoid madness.
And may I add a suggestion? Allow room changing on the fly (like a drop down menu that allows you to switch between rooms without having to go to the chat page, includes an option to open in separate tab). Oh and maybe show timestamps too.

Personally I think there should be two kinds of chat rooms. People wanting to give/ask for help, and one that's just a typical free discussion chat room. If we need any special types of chatrooms, those can get created easily. I think that generalizes the two biggest types of users that come to the chatroom.

If anything, just one more room for overflow or when the room is crowded would be sufficient. There barley seems to be enough traffic lately to support a single room, let alone anymore. I check in every once in a while and have yet to see anyone even in there in the last month or so. Maybe I'm just choosing strange times, idk.

Ha, funny story...  Unbeknownst to me, DTMAce, and possible others, the link to the chat room was changed at some point. For all of us who bookmarked the link, when we went to the chat, it loads and looks completely fine; the only problem is that it is not the 'current' chat room that we were being brought to. It turns out, that the 'old' room is still active at the 'old' link. Since the link was changed, I have been thinking "wow, no one uses the chat anymore, strange" whenever I would check in. One thing I think a lot of people dont realize is that you can right click on someone's name from the right and click "Track User". This adds a button on the bottom with the persons name. That way if you want to ignore everyone and only listen to a certain user who is trying to help you then you can. You can also open private chats which opens a smaller window. With that you can read the private chat and also read the main chat in the background. Multiple rooms are not that neccessary.

Ive never joined the Chat with more than 18 people in it (Usually 12peeps).... only one room seems enough for now.

Given what I've seen, one is the way to go. Multiple rooms didn't work.. and spreads out something that should just be kept confined (especially for newbies' sake!) Don't want people to get lost. :) Can always take it to the private chats too.
