Ubuntu Linux Is Now A Direct Democracy!

Ok I want to brag a little.  Last March I thought it would be an awesome idea for ubuntu to allow users to vote on their ideas for ubuntu.  This could help guide the course of development and offer invaluable ideas for the development team.   Well it turns out they actually listened and created it :)

Dell has allready started doing this with its program called idea storm.

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=383914  Here is the forum post last year.  I also emailed pretty much everyone at Canonical who would listen.

It is said that soon after his enlightenment the Buddha passed a man on the road who was struck by the Buddha's extraordinary radiance and peaceful presence. The man stopped and asked, "My friend, what are you? Are you a celestial being or a god?"
    "No," said the Buddha.
"Well, then, are you some kind of magician or wizard?"
    Again the Buddha answered, "No."
    "Are you a man?"
    "No."
"Well, my friend, then what are you?"
The Buddha replied, "I am awake."

That is quite cool; I voted on quite a number of ideas because there are definitely some things Ubuntu needs like even higher popularity!

I love my Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon and intend on throwing it (not literally ;-)) back onto my Desktop in 64-bit version because in the past, it seems GRUB has picked a fight with my hard drive/computer causing many problems. But lately it seems Grub installs have been greatly improved and features are getting better and more numerous, so long as they don't get so numerous the size of Ubuntu grows too large.
