    Acrobat Scanning "Unknown Error"

    Hey,

Somebody at my work is trying to scan a bunch of documents with Acrobat Standard, and after a random amount of copies (or at least they haven't noticed a certain amount that causes the error), they receive an "Unknown Error" message, and Acrobat stops pulling information from the scanner. Oddly, the scanner keeps running, but it stops pulling papers through. The scanner is a kodak i160.

    Thanks

    Have you tried Kodak's software?

It looks like that has PDF support. I'm no expert on Acrobat, but have found it to be a bit temperamental on less demanding tasks than you're trying to use it for. The professional version is a bit more robust, but still has major issues. Trying to edit slightly off-spec PDF's often makes it bomb. It also gets unstable if I load too many PDF's in series without closing the program then opening it again, though it doesn't seem like it has a problem with memory leakage...

Does the linked software fit the bill? There's also a commercial version that has more features Geeked

... Just here to help! If I've been of assistance please encourage me to carry on by letting me know :-)

Hey, thanks a bunch for the response. I haven't been able to do anything with your suggestion, but I told my co-worker that if the problem becomes a persistent hassle, for them to try out that software. Thanks again for the input.
