Here's one of my favorites.  It's the Mississippi River bridge in Baton Rouge at dusk.

Nice shot of the falls ajk.  Guess that's a tour boat of some kind down there?

JeAnna, the idea of this thread was to post a picture that you had shot.  Did you shoot that dog?  Why don't you try again?

Yeah, it's a tour boat.  It takes you right up to the falls.  You get off dripping wet.

I took this shot from my hotel room of the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. It shows the 'fake' Eiffel Tower on the Vegas strip, Caesars Palace & The Alladin Hotel.

That boat at Niagra Falls is called either Lady of The Mist or Maid of The Mist, I can't remember which, they supply you with those huge ponchos so you don't get soaked.

    The pictures are great!

The boat in that picture is Maid Of The Mist IV.  I have a close up of it.

    JTacoma,

Took a few more this past weekend.  Nice church shot.

#1 is the Old State Capitol in Baton Rouge.

#2 is this crazy looking old tower about 2 blocks from the old capitol.

#3 is what I though was an interesting looking fence that surrounds the capitol building

    Re: Post a photo

The ol' capitol building looks pretty good for its age. I love the detail on the fence shot as well.

I hope you stopped by Tsunami since you were so close :D ...that tower is right next to the LSU MoA right?

Here's 3 more back at ya:

This is an old abandoned hotel that was on Nicholson Dr. right before the bridge. It's since been torn down.

    Same Hotel

Early morning at Nottoway Plantation, about 25min. South of Baton Rouge on Highway 1.

    Re: Post a photo

They actually call that building the Shaw Center for the Arts now, yes the tower is between the river and the Shaw center.  We tried to make reservations at Tsunami for Saturday night, but they weren't taking any more, and it's like an hour to get a table.

    So we went to:

    Wine Loft

That's my old Yukon in front.  Those guys are wondering what the hell I'm doing. :)  I shoot weddings occasionally as a second shooter, so I've gotten pretty immune to being shy with my camera.

Anyway, the wine loft is a nice place.  Good ambience, wine and appetizers.  They have couches and coffee tables instead of tables/chairs.  Good music, hot waitresses.  I definitely want to go to Tsunami though, I've never been.

Cool light beams coming through the trees at Nottoway.  Nice capture.

They did do a complete renovation on the Old State Capitol a few years ago, so it probably looks better than the last time you saw it.  They've also renovated and reopened the planetarium.

I think the light beams are pretty cool, coming throught the trees like that.
