I need a new vid card

Im looking for a GeForce 8300/8500 or a Radeon 9800pro (PCI-E) or better (I'm playing CoD4) that will fit in an HP s3220n tower. Its a very small tower and I'm having a hard time locating a card that will fit.  Any ideas? Thx in advance.

Re: I need a new vid card

well if you want to be able to play CoD4 you'll need a dx10 card.  no doubt about it.  as for fitting in a micro atx tower im guessing?  i hope to god by pci-e you meant pci x16.  well if that is what you meant, this 8600gt should do you good.

    AMD Athlon 4200+ (65w)
    MSI K9N4 SLI-F nForce 500
    EVGA GeForce 8800GT (512MB 256-bit)
    WD Caviar 120gb
    WD Caviar 320gb
    A-DATA 1GB DDR2 SDRAM

Thx for the response, yes I meant pci x16. The problem with the card you posted is its too big. My HP is one of the "slim line" towers, its really small, Ive found a few cards that would fit, I just cant find the ones I listed above.

Re: I need a new vid card

I need a low profile card with a a small mounting bracket like this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814139165. I'm just worried about the size of the card itself. Im not at all smart when it comes to hardware I just like to play the games. I'm not real picky as to which card I get, I just want something that will run CoD4 without probs. Thanks for the help guys! Keep the suggestions coming!

Re: I need a new vid card

Egg search:  "Low profile video cards"  They come with the L-P brackets.  I put that link 'cause I don't know if you need/want dx10 or not...

    1 PCIe x16 8 series card.  A PNY 8400GS.

    1 PCIe x16 HD2xxx series card.  A Diamond HD 2400 Pro.

No idea how they would game, though.

Re: I need a new vid card

I do have just a suggestion. If this PC isn't that new and not covered under a warranty you could buy a new case, transfer the motherboard and parts from the old case into the new case and have enough room for a video card that you really want. I've done this with some peoples computers, saves them a lot trouble finding parts that fit. It's painful of course moving all the parts, but worth it.
