    New case and upgrading motherboard

Hi all, thanks in advance for any help!

I'm thinking of upgrading my motherboard and case.  I've never built a computer from scratch, only added new memory, installed a new hard drive once, and installed a new cdrw.  It was bought from Vigor.  Currently I have a Cooler Master Mystique which HAS to be replaced, plastic clear screen in broken from an accidental kick in the excitement of playing a game.  My mb is Asus P5NSLI, nvidia gts 8800 by PNY, and Intel 1.86 Core Duo 2, Tagan 900w PSU, and I have 4 sticks of G.Skill 1gb ddr2 800mhz (F2-6400CL4D-2GBHK is package code).  Sound card and dvd writer also. Vista Home Premium 32.

For the case I'm looking at the ANTEC Performace 1 P180 (slightly bigger than CM Mystique).  I might want to get a 2nd video card so the slightly bigger case would be good. (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16811129154).  And for the mb, EVGA 122-CK-NF68-A1 LGA 775 Nvidia 680i SLI ATX (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813188013).

Would all this work?  and how difficult would it be to move all the parts to the new case?  Should I keep the Asus mb?  I've read some not to flattering things about it and using 800mhz memory, and that it's only a 590SLI and not fully utilizing my video card and memory.  I do get random boot up errors on this system every once in a while to (and I don't even have it OCd anymore and I still get random boot up errors).

I'm grateful for any insights and advice!

Re: New case and upgrading motherboard

Both of what you chose look good.  You can move everything to the new case no problem.  The only thing to be wary of is how your OS will respond to the new motherboard.  You may or may not get a system boot up because of the new hardware.  I had a DFI LanParty board, and then switched to an ASUS board about a year ago, and it all worked fine.  Know that you'll need to install the mobo drivers once you get the OS running, though.
