Are they supposed to be like this?

This is more or less a compilation of low priority questions, so answer whichever you know!    Are the usb ports on my mobo supposed to remain powered on, even after the computer is on? I don't see any problem with it, as it hasn't caused any problems, but I just noticed that my mice batteries continue to charge when I power down my pc (actually quite a conveinience!)     Also does 44C sounds like a good temperature for my CPU (this is with just having a few IE7 windows open and WMP playing in the background)?     My CPU shows up twice in the device manager (and it is listing the right cpu, but it is just there twice...), I don't like that, so what can I do to fix that?    My SATA HDD appears as in the "safely remove hardware" icon, is there a way I can get it to recognize it as a 'permanent' drive instead?    On my G15 keyboard's LCD screen, under the included "performance" app., it shows my CPU usage and RAM usage. The CPU usage splits itself into two horizontal bars, is each independantly-moving bar showing individual core usage, or is it just some wierd CPU thing (they're pretty spuratic, one might be all the way across while the other is at 0, or they could be at the same level)?     Is there any way possible to make the soundchip built onto my mobo not sound like --, c**p? (That won't even need to be answered after 9/17/07, since my sound card I ordered should be in then, but I still wanted some decent gaming this weekend, and it's not my speakers, they sounded great when my old Audigy 2 wasn't fried)       Is there a way to use the auto adjustment on my Samsung SyncMaster 226BW (When I press 'Auto' it says, 'Auto adjustment not available')?       Any specs you might need should be down below in my sig, if you need any info, please let me know!

USB will stay on for if using a usb keyboard to power up. If using stock heatsink is about right. You have a dual core CPU shows twice. Safely remove hardware is the Nvidia drivers because the sata drives are hot swappable just hide the icon. Would say its showing CPU usage some programs use both cores some don't. Onboard sound need I say more. If using DVI output on the monitor auto adjustment is not available only VGA output.

Absolutly hide the safetly remove SATA drive. You don't want to do that to your boot drive, ever. As lowboy said, it is an NForce thing.

As for the soundchip, if it is RealTek, nope you about discribed it right, if it is a SoundMax it should sould OK, not like an add in card but with normal speakers it should be close. If that is the case try the latest drivers. http://www.driverfiles.net/Sound-Cards/SoundMAX/page,level2,1097,7,resultpage1.html

Re: Are they supposed to be like this?

Thanks for help. I hear you can't stop your primary HDD anyways, it'll pop up a message (I'm not going to test that), My sound chip is a Soundmax, and it sound HORRIBLE in games, sounds have no special effects to them (like in oblivion, all of the sounds just sound bland, landing from a jump sound like someone has a flat tire) and there is 0, I repeat, ZERO surround effect, so when i face someone that's talking to me, it sounds like they're in front of me, but it still sounds like they are right in front of me if I'm facing to the left of them, to the right, turned around, or even if I'm 30 feet away from them, it all sounds exactly the same. My Audigy 2 sounded WAAAAY better, even when it was malfunctioning (locking up the pc whenever a cable was plugged in or removed, causing cracking noises in the speaker when no sounds were playing at random times, and causing studdering of the system whenever I disabled it and enabled my soundmax to be able to use my mic without the pc crashing)!  And the thing with the DVI cables just sucks, isn't DVI supposed to be better than VGA, or did I just mishear something? I'll be posting in the software area, or preferrably virus section if there is one, so follow me there if you want, lol...
