    3 x 320 GB SATA HD - RAID 0 ???

I guess 550W rosewill is sufficient for your build...never heard about the Ultra one...dont know if it is reliable.

however, seems your budget for PSU is under $70...then go with the Rosewill one

    Any Upgrade Suggestions ?

Re: Power Supply Help (I am just tired???)

In general, I would try to get a PSU with Active Power Factor Correction (PFC). This ensures that you get the proper voltage to your components. If you are using a high quality UPS then the is not as important, however it is a feature that I feel would be important to protect your components.

Re: Power Supply Help (I am just tired???)

I also have a triple drive RAID-0 and I have never seen Windows XP boot in less than 15 seconds (from when Windows starts loading straight to the completed desktop loaded) until I put that system together..The faster CPU does nothing for you while Windows XP is booting and if you use BootVis you can see how heavily I/O bound it is..  Also, if you're sharing files such as an iTunes library or AVI Share over the network than that triple drive RAID-0 keeps the system usable for gaming while you've got half a dozen other computers pounding the system for data over gigabit ethernet....

As long as you do frequent backups, you should be good with triple drive RAID-0..  I plan on moving to quad-drive RAID-5 by the end of the 2nd year of owning my triple drive RAID-0 and with an nvidia chipset, migrating from RAID-0 to RAID-5 when adding more drives is very very easy, so easy you don't even need to reboot and can do it inside of Windows with the nvidia utility..

    Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAID

I never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.

I don't know, I think the Rosewill is ok but I'd go with more Watts.

Re: Power Supply Help (I am just tired???)

i have used ultra products b4 and they have great value... im a performance nut myself but i almost suggest ultra to my friends on a budget.

a side note... if you go with a bigger video card later with the current setup you will need to get a more expensive  ps or at least a name brand

    Intel E6750 - 3.20Ghz
    2 Gigs OCZ XTC DDR2 - 667Mhz(OCed @ 825Mhz) 4-4-4-4-14

    EVGA 8800Gts 320Mbx2 (OCd @ 700Mhz/1.9Ghz)
    BFG 650W SLI PS
    3D mark 06 score : 14598

If we help you out sho sum respec an drop some eggs or say thanks...its what makes all the effort worth it.

Re: Power Supply Help (I am just tired???)

Hey guys I run that Ultra 600watt in 1 of my 3 rigs, I run the Ultra 500watt in another. My main rig runs a OCZ 600Watt gamXtreme this is a favorite of many gamers, of the 3 no complaints no failures. I would sugjest the OCZ of the 3 for anyone building a new rig with lots power needs as this will do the job plus.if you inclined to go with OCZ check out the 700 watt for even more power. Also you can go to DFIGlobal.com and read their PS sticky. Have fun..

Re: Power Supply Help (I am just tired???)

    Thanks all for your help,

I think I will go with the Antec suggested above for my main PC but I will get the Ultra for a second one I am building that is mainly for hard drives and such. I hear nothing but good things about Antec's power supplies so hope it will be worth it.

Re: Power Supply Help (I am just tired???)

I would say that rosewill power supply is good. Since you like speed and performance and you have good backups, so go for RAID 0
