    Unhappy customer (now happy)

Well, I won't be using newegg again and I'm really disappointed now. I ordered a bunch of stuff on the 24th, paid for rush processing and picked 3 day shipping. I've just checked the package containing all the guts of the computer and it's now scheduled to be delivered on the 4th. That's 11 days from ordering to arrival, and it's not really very good.

While I know problems happen, and it takes time to ship, I'm just left disappointed and angry that it won't arrive before the weekend. What is the point of a laughable rush shipping if it takes 4-5 days just to get the stuff shipped out, not leaving enough time for delivery before the weekend. The package hasn't even made it to the same state as me yet. It's on route to MA and I'm in ME.

I don't expect anything from newegg, I just wanted to rant as I'm unhappy.

Hey Lila, not sure if you saw the thread on the warehouse delays..  Also keep in mind that NewEgg is closed during the weekend.. So if you didn't order it very early on the 24th (friday) then they wouldn't even be shipped until the monday afterwards..

I never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.

It should have shipped Monday, but actually shipped on the 29th which is what sucks.

    Re: Unhappy customer

Not to sound rude but unless you want to get out in the heat that is causing the delays, be lucky you got it that early.  There have been people wait longer.

But i feel for ya.  I usually only have to wait 1 business day and 3 business days shipping and the anticipation kills me even then.

Well good luck to you and i hope you dont let this little problem keep you from enjoying the greatness newegg has to offer.

    Re: Unhappy customer

On a couple of occassions over the years, I've had to experience a similiar wait from newegg.  But for every one of those, I've had five or more with very quick turn-arounds.  My last order I placed this last Monday (27th) with 3 day ground, and I received it yesterday (30th).  The few times I had a delay, it was always a bigger order, and my best guess is that sometimes a certain item ordered at a certain time will delay.

My newegg experiences compare very well (as in better) to the many other online shops (hi-tech or other) I've bought from over the years.

    Dear Lila,

We truly apologize for any inconvenience and or delay. Unfortunately we have had some delays lately, so we do understand your anger. I have went ahead and PM'ed you, please review and reply as soon as possible. Thank you.

    Re: Unhappy customer

Wow, villa11 was in contact with me as said and I'm VERY impressed by newegg!  They've definitely gone above and beyond the call of duty, and frankly I'm shocked that they took the time considering they must deal with angry people like me all day long.

Needless to say I now know why everyone loves newegg and I'll certainly be shopping here in future (and I buy a lot of computer stuff..), and recommending them to everyone. :)
