International card but US shipping? Frustration :(

Wow this is frustrating!! All I want to do is send some computer parts to my Dad to setup skype so we can talk. I am an American but recently living abroad. I have US credit cards but I have no way to easily pay off the balance while I am abroad and there is no way I want to deal with mounting interest rates for missed payments. If my situation becomes permanent, I will actually be canceling all those cards (yes I have 0 balance on those cards, paid them off before I left). My dad is older and not familiar with computers. I have a neighbor who is willing to install the stuff for him. I just need to get the stuff to him. I have already set his address as an authorized shipping address with the local credit card company here so there is no problem there.

I have tried inputting the details directly, no go. Setup a Paypal account but it was rejected as "wrong country" by newegg. Contacted newegg and the answer was they do not accept foreign credit cards. I've been shopping with newegg for years having spent over $25k in personal purchases (not corporate) so far and its all in my account history. The rep saw it all and still refused to help me out. I cannot believe newegg treats a good customer like this. I can use Amazon, and have already sent him books from there, but anything to do with product problems with Amazon is a ridiculous PIA and he would be lost. With newegg, I can handle any RMAs and issues from where I am and, most importantly, I know the system already which is a big part of handling things remotely.

Does anyone know how to get this done? A workaround, I mean? Something that won't take me a long time to setup. I do not require international shipping (which a google search spit up lots of hits on). I just need US shipping. For my own needs, things where I am are up to 25% cheaper than Newegg, so I will not be needing to have anything sent to me. Alternatively, I am more than happy to break my long relationship with newegg if this is how they treat good customers. But, because I have wasted so much time buying from Newegg exclusively over the years, I haven't had much experience with other etailers. So does anyone know of another retailer who accepts foreign credit cards/paypal and is easy to deal with in returns from an old man who doesn't know the way all these PIA systems work or would be easy for me to deal with, remotely, and won't just give me the email runaround?

    Thanks!

International transfers can be real funny, as in you get the cash, then it's gone, then its there, then its gone, then it's back, maybe. I don't blame them.

    but.

set up a paypal acc. using your dad to do it in us. you send him the cash, he recieves, sends to the almighty Egg and recieves product. Fini.

If you know hid acc# you should still be able to do for still, as far as I know.)

    good luck.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I found quite a few sites that will do what I need with some extra surfing. My dad got the parts already and all is well. Was a bit cheaper than Newegg as well, which is always nice. So, I guess this is goodbye Newegg. Frankly, considering how much I have spent with them over the years, this kind of customer treatment is rather shocking. Thanks for your help though!
