Monitor the temperature inside your Computer case.

Do you know what the temperature is inside your computer case? Anything over 110-120 deg. F is getting to be high and could shorten the life of the electronics.

All modern motherboards will let you monitor the temp of the CPU, but if you buy one of those dual readout inside\outside digital thermometer with the min and max memory you will always know what the temperature is and has been inside your case. Just mount the outside thermometer lead inside you case where there is the most still air. Re not over a fan. Use a plastic tie to keep it in place.

Now you will know how well your cooling system is always working....you will know if your fans has quit, and so on. Yes this would be best for a desktop system, even tho you can find the small units (about the size of a quarter) that could be double-taped at the read of the case.
