wtburnette:I just ordered an eVGA 8800GTS 640MB video card yesterday and today the price dropped by $5. Considering I don't even have the card yet, I don't suppose Newegg would be kind enough to give me a $5 credit or anything? I've been a customer of Newegg for years now and have spent a lot of money with them. It would be nice if they could do something for me.
.. Think about those people who bought the Q6600 the day before the price drop for $600 not knowing about the price drop and then the next day it dropped to $300... And now it's up to $375..
It's like real-life shopping.. If you do your research and take the time to search for a better deal or to know when the next sale is going to be, then you'll always end out ahead of everybody who doesn't.. I don't think people should be reimbursed for their own laziness if they didn't bother to check for the price-drop..
As far as price drops that are small, that's just silly.. You don't buy a gallon of milk one day and then go back to the store the next day demanding your 10 cents because they started a new sale on milk.. Why would you do it for a graphics card, especially in the tech industry where it's a given that prices continue to fall everyday across the board for all parts..
Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAIDI never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.
