I kept my screen open all last night because the ETA was yesterday, but it was never in-stock. I come on today to find they've all been de-activated. I'm not in any rush, it takes a while to ship to where I live anyways. I'd like to get my system before Christmas though, you know? Any idea why it was taken down, it doesn't seem fair that only the U.S. gets quality products.
MasterCard Securecode Question

I've been trying to make a purchase through newegg.ca for about 2 weeks now. Newegg keeps saying my credit card has been declined, but when I check with mastercard they say that the transaction is being declined on newegg's end because the mastercard securecode is blank. No one I talk to at newegg seems to even know what this is and they keep telling me to re-enter my CVV2 number on the back of my card which is not what the issue is.

On the order page it even says that if you have a mastercard securecode set up you will be redirected to enter this code. However I am never redirected to enter this code and that seems to be why my order gets declined.

Has anyone else run into this issue with the mastercard securecode on newegg.ca?

Information About Newegg.ca Shipping and Returns

Greetings All,

Here's some direct info regarding shipping, returns, and accepting delivery of Newegg.ca orders.

Shipping

Will I be charged (import/brokerage/duty/tax) fees when UPS delivers my order?
No. Any and all fees, brokerage, import charges, duties, taxes, etc. that are due will be charged at checkout, you will not have to pay any more money in order to accept delivery of your purchase. What you see on the checkout page is what you'll pay for your order.

What if the UPS driver says I owe something?
He/She should not say that, and if they do we ask you to let us know as soon as possible. I would recommend that you accept delivery and pay the charges (unless they are ridiculous); Immediately contact Newegg Customer Service to report the issue (as it is against our agreement with UPS), they will be able to issue you a credit based on your invoiced order (the credit goes back to the credit card/paypal account you originally paid with).
Alternatively, you can refuse shipment, in which case you will receive a full refund once it is returned to Newegg.

Why UPS?
We understand that there have been complaints regarding UPS in the past, especially regarding shipments from the United States. We have a long-standing relationship with UPS, and we believe the system that we have arranged will bypass these issues.
We've worked with UPS to set up "harmonization codes" for every single item we sell; these allow them to easily identify the contents of every package to smooth delivery across the border. It also allows us to accurately calculate fees and import taxes in order to assess them on checkout, meaning customs will not add any charges when the product crosses from the U.S. to Canada (which historically were passed on to the recipient of the package upon delivery).

Returns

What is the procedure for returning products to Newegg?
All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Number, an RMA Commercial Invoice (required by customs), and a UPS Return Shipping Label. To assist you with this process, all RMAs will be handled through our Customer Service Department.

Contact Newegg Customer Service to request an RMA.

A Customer Service Agent will issue you an RMA number and RMA Invoice, and create a UPS Return Shipping Label.

You will be emailed with the RMA Number and Invoice, and a link to the Shipping Label. Print the Shipping Label and use clear tape to secure it to the outside of the box, and drop it off at your nearest UPS pick-up location.

For further details regarding returns, please reference the Newegg.ca Returns FAQ.

Do I have to pay for return shipping for my RMA?
According to Newegg.ca terms and conditions, yes. However, we acknowledge that every situation is different, and our Customer Service Agents are always willing to take special circumstances into account.

I received a defective product, and I don't have time to wait for the RMA process. Does Newegg.ca offer cross-shipping?
Strictly speaking, Newegg does not cross-ship replacements. As stated above, however, we acknowledge that special circumstances can be very difficult to deal with when shopping online. Typically we will ask you to place a new order, and we will arrange for expedited shipping as well as a full refund for the original order. In extreme circumstances for accounts in good standing, cross-shipping has been arranged, but please note that this is not standard procedure.

My package is damaged! What should I do?
If you are home when UPS delivers your order, and you note that the package is damaged, we advise you to refuse shipment; the package will be returned to the Newegg warehouse it shipped from. Refused shipments are automatically refunded in full (order cost & shipping, no restocking fee, 100% of your money back); Newegg will handle the shipping claim.
If your package is dropped off, or you don't notice the damage initially, please be sure to contact Newegg Customer Service within 3 business days of delivery. Make sure to note that you're calling to file a shipping claim, as they are handled differently than RMAs. For further details, you can reference our Shipping FAQ.

Today is not a holiday and its not a weekend, yet my package remained untouched. I contacted customer service a few times, and i was simply reminded that they dont ship on weekends/holiday and newegg expidited shipping can take between 5-9 business days. Really? 5-9 days? thats expidited? Had i known this i would have spent the extra few dollars at ncix and had my package last friday! So frusterated right now!

French EggXperience

Next Newegg move should be taking into account that more than 20% of Canadians are French speaking.
I know it sometimes takes time to adjust for currency fluctuations, but the CAD has been around this level for the last week or so i'm guessing it just hasn't updated?

I had my first chance a couple of weeks ago ordering some equipment for work. After ordering flawlessly through several other large computer hardware mail order chains, I was surprised to see my order fail due to a mismatch in shipping and billing address. I tried again a few different times to figure out what the problem was, eventually I realized I had to make the change with my credit card company. So I did that. I resubmitted the order and it went through without issue. Problem solved, I figured.

So, with that in mind, placed a new order for a different product thinking 'now everything will go smoothly - they've already charged and shipped something to me, what could possibly go wrong?'. Well, this next order did the same thing - it failed at verification. Now I was stumped. I changed my information with the credit card company, Newegg had no problem taking my money the first time. Don't they want me to be a customer? Three days, several chats and phone calls later, my product finally shipped (to my disappointment because I was thinking of canceling and just going with a competitor who could probably get the product shipped more quickly since now I'll probably be waiting another two weeks for something I had hoped to have Friday). While the order was still 'processing' I even offered to pay extra money for faster shipping, but they said that it was too late. Odd, since nothing had been charged.

I'm just wondering if others with similar problems ever got them resolved, or if this is something I'll have to deal with every time (which obviously I won't). I'm beginning to think that the higher prices at the other stores may be worth the cost if only to reduce frustration.

So much for a price drop in Intel G2 SSDs

I noticed NewEgg.ca put up the new G2 versions of the Intel SSDs.

Original Post:

Greetings Newegg.ca EggXperts!

We're happy to announce that as of today (11/17/2008), Newegg.ca's UPS Standard Shipping rates for small packages 3 pounds or lighter have dropped by about 20%, or $3 per package!

This should provide some excellent shipping savings on smaller, lighter items such as memory and cables.
Remember that if you place additional items in your shopping cart, and they can be shipped together from the same location, our shipping calculator will group them together to save you even more!

Example:

Old UPS Standard Shipping Rate, 3 lb. Package: $14.79 - $15.79
New UPS Standard Shipping Rate, 3 lb. Package: $11.79 - $12.79

Customer Service Help & Info

Customer Service is here to help.

To help them help you, please review these suggestions for contacting Customer Service. The answer to your question may already be available!

Payment Verification

Although most orders are verified within a few minutes, Customer Service handles many contacts as a result of a stalled payment.
Here's some possible reasons why your order might not be processing:

Typos or errors in the Billing Address, Shipping Address or Credit Card information

Double-check your order and make sure that all fields are correct. Don't forget the bank phone number!

Insufficient funds, a daily limit or an expired card

Contacting your bank and making sure your credit/debit card is in good standing can help rule this possibility out.

A Shipping Address that's not on file with your bank

If you're shipping your order to a different address than the one listed with your billing information, make sure to contact your bank and let them know. Almost every bank has some method of noting your account with an additional ship-to address, and Newegg does verify this before your order is shipped.

What Customer Service Can Help With

Issuing a shipping claim if your order is damaged on arrival

Issuing an RMA for a defective item

Handling special circumstances that aren't mentioned in our FAQs

Voiding or removing items from a recently-placed order

We ship very quickly; contact us ASAP for order voids!

Providing information regarding an order that isn't processing

Re-submitting an order after you've updated payment or shipping information

What Customer Service Can't Help With

Customer Service is very good at what they do, but there are some things they aren't authorized to assist with. Here's some alternative suggestions if you're contacting CS about one of these issues:

Technical Support or Product Compatibility

The best official technical support will always be provided by the product's manufacturer; thier contact information is listed on the lower-left side of the product's web page under "Manufacturer Info". Or try our Product Support Forums here on EggXpert!

Placing an order

All Newegg orders are placed online; we do not have a sales team. If you feel that you're having trouble placing an order due to a system error, we recommend that you contact CS while you're viewing your shopping cart and are prepared to check out. They'll be happy to talk you through it!

Adding items to an order

It's best to "add" items by placing a separate, new order; CS can't add items because the order's price would increase, and this can cause issues if the order is midway through payment processing.

When is the best time to contact Customer Service?
