Just a note. I reformatted my computer and now all drop downs work. No clue what caused the issue with only the main page working!

Drop downs don't work in sub pages in FF.

FF Version 2.0.0.11

Work fine on the main page, just not any sub page.

I'm liking the new layout a lot... but what I'd really like to see is a "search reviews" box. Say I'm going to buy some hardware, and I'm wondering if it's compatible w/ vista, based on first hand experiences... so I'd just type in "vista" or "vista compatibility" on the customer reviews page, and bam, i'd get all the reviews that contain vista in them. It'd be much easier than trying to wade through a bunch of reviews trying to find the right one.

I'd love to see that feature... yeah, i know i could go to google, but this way I can spend more time on newegg... laziness is the mother of invention, right?

The old front page used to present the Category bars across the top and side and had a nice selection of the Daily Deals front and center. That was nice. If you wanted to go look at something specific you could use the drop downs to get where you wanted to go; but if you just wanted to browse the DDs you had them right in front of you. Now it's a click to the Daily Deals and there's just a lot of clutter. Google had it right, simplicity is king on your front page.

the site is fine. I use drop down menu's so nothing has really changed regarding my experience shopping. bought my system build through newegg and so far a great way to buy stuff online. Customer service is excellent when you have a question about your purchase. Will continue to send business their way.

here's another suggestion and I have no idea how you will fix it. When somebody pulls up their invoice in their account history and they print the rebate form, it will print the current rebate program and not the form for when the product was purchased.

One way I guess you could print out a valid form with the program number and ship it with the item.

Please forgive if this has been brought up some where in this thread, I just didn't have time to read through, in a rush here. But I would like to see a date of when each item first hit the site or went on sale. Fro example, It'd be nice to know which are older mobos and which ones are relatively new. I know we should all research what we're buying, believe me I do. But even then some manufacturers websites don't necessarily list release dates. For me it would be an important peice of info too in seeing if allot have been bought in a short time, or its a dog, thats only sold a few but has been listed forever. I realize too we can get a feel for that reading through the reviews, but lets face it, sometimes the reviews have their own threads going. Not necessarily specs and quality stuff.

The old way IS better.Personally, it is starting to feel more like Ebay than a private company.

There are two points though that I feel need mentioning.

#1 The Egg is selling more stuff all the time. No longer is it ONLY for PC parts. Believe it or not, it DID start out that way. <I'm just waiting for them to start selling books, clothes, movies and CD's>. Please.........Don't do it Egg!!! You don't have to sell everything to everyone. <That would be called WalMart>.

#2 Because the Egg is selling more stuff all the time, the chages are necessary for many reasons. The bottom line is that people do not like change on the average. So, for the most part, negativity towards change is normal.

A better vehicle, yes, a better warranty, hopefully, better service? I think not! Business' as well as people are best judged by how well they treat the least among us. I hate to draw this analogy but look at the way Walmart or Toyota started or the way, in my mind, NewEgg still is, 10,000 satisfied $500 a year customers beats the daylights out of 100 satisfied $5000 a year customers.

Well, I think the problem is that no matter what you do in life, or in business. You can never make everyone happy. Personally after getting used to it, I prefer the new layout. It's really not all that much different then it was before, it's just a cleaner layout.

But here's the clincher... Newegg could do just about anything to their website and I'd still order form them. Because the prices, products, service, deals, etc... are all great. So as I've said before...

Peace of Mind, is pricless...
