Having the CPU heatsink height made as part of the filter would really come in handy in picking the appropriate heat sink for a case.

Hello, this is my first time posting on eggxpert but a long time NewEgg customer.

What's bothering me is that I'm having a hard time shopping for an LCD Monitor.

I'm trying to get away from TN panels but it's hard telling one from the other since they aren't listed in the specs.

I was thinking about a Dell 2209WA but naturally wanted to see what NewEgg has to offer first.

I know that NewEgg does have some IPS and PVA monitors but it would be nice if I could use Power Search and have them all listed that way.

TigerDirect already has Early Black Friday Deals..

I cannot stand the new look. Please go back to the old classic look or at least give us an option. Just click any item to know what I'm talking about, its big, and doofy looking compared to the old sleek and compact look. It looks hideous, please newegg fix this. Change is good, but this one isn't.

I recently purchased a Motherboard.

GIGABYTE GA-MA790XT-UD4P AM3 DDR3 AMD 790X ATX AMD

Number of Memory Slots 4×240pin
Memory Standard DDR3 1666(O.C.)/1333/1066 MHz

I hate ALL search engines and NewEgg's is no different. I searched everywhere for the memory in the specs and got zero results. I searched for "4GB" memory simms, sticks (many ways) and got Zero results. I got nothing but "2GB" sticks on NewEgg.

I searched Google and got one result that was way too expensive.

If you sell a motherboard, shouldn't you stock the memory for it?

My suggestion is that the page that shows the item also have links to ALL possible accessories (for the item) included on the page so that the customer doesn't have to spend hours searching for something that may not even exist.

The motherboard I bought will hold 4X4GB(16GB) of memory but I was forced to buy only 4X2GB(8GB). Now I'll bet in a couple of days the 4GB sticks will be on sale.

What newegg should carry, Suggestions.

In the description of the Amazon app, it says:

Amazon: It came out back in early August, but we haven't highlighted it yet, so I'm talking about it anyway. Why? Because it's the easiest way to impulse buy c**p you don't need from a phone, or to talk yourself out of paying a full brick-and-mortar store's price for something, since you can see right there it's cheaper on Amazon. Plus, it's got barcode scanning for finding stuff on Amazon. If Newegg releases an app like this, I'm pretty much screwed.

I have to agree. If I'm out shopping, and I can scan a barcode and add it to my cart on Newegg, I'd be broke, but happy. Please consider it.

slowness on the dashboard

I noticed this awhile back and thought it would work itself out. But, my issue is with the time it takes to receive the tracking information. i've ordered 2 packages, the first 1 arrived on time, but didn't receive the shipping information until 2 weeks after it arrived. I ordered some color toner for my printer at work. Even though its been a day and half already, i have yet to receive any shipping information, and nothing shows up when i click on the invoice number on the dashboard.

I had to go to ups's website and thankfully they had a way of locating the package using the invoice number and the zipcode.

I want to know why its so fricken slow in updating. When i made my first orders, it was easy going. but now its more of a order and pray type of t hing. i'm not like some people here that would leave because of something so minor, the prices are to good to pass up. Just please get this fixed.

Can't Accept 8 Dead Pixel Policy on Monitors

Love ya Newegg but just can't accept getting 7 dead pixels-- or even 3 with say, one in the middle and have to eat the Monitor. REFUSE.

I buy everything else here but a monitor even with 3 dead pixels should be declared useless or sent for refurb.

I'd rather buy a Slightly used one on ebay (and CHEAPER too) knowing it's been tested and has NO Dead ones.

Suggestion: EDIT 1: It's MANUFACTURERS that need to Dramatically tighten quality control and return policy.

Not saying we don't have an apt choice of etailers already, but i would love to see the giant stock and great prices that Newegg offers to be available to us over the pond. For that matter, i'm sure all of Europe would benefit from it as well.

While I think it is a great idea to have this forum so that newegg can better interact with its customers. I am not sure how successful it is going to be if you shut-down topics that 'you don't want to deal with'. These are the very topics that Newegg should be focusing on as an unsatisfied customer is much more likely to tell everyone about their experience than a happy one.

So why do I say "you don't want to deal with"? Simple read the Intel SSD thread objectively and it is very clear that Newegg is price gouging. I don't need to go to wikipedia to understand that they are selling the G2 (80Gs) for $350, or approximately $120 above MSRP. This gauging, it is also free enterprise, but I don't have to like it. Newegg is simply doing this to drive profit, yes, you can say that is simple supply and demand, but they have raised the price of the item roughly 50% over MSRP and I, as a New Egg customer, have an issue with that. I don't think it is a good way to treat your customers.

I also disagree with the way that the mods handled the intel SSD thread, they were heavy handed and fairly ignorant. Correct me if I am wrong but is anyone familiar with CA's consumer protection laws? No - thought not, then why are you going off on the guy, if he wants to do it, and you aren't legal council (or have a clue) telling him he is wrong with no backup is plain stupidity and a way to make sure that only 'yes' comments are left in this forum.

Why should you believe me? MBA Yale, MSEE Purdue, accenture Senior Manager (high-tech strategy practice), Microsoft Product Manager, VP Marketing (three companies), founder three companies, two successful liquidity events. Suffice it to say that I have 'been around the block' and have consulted to companies much bigger than Newegg about customer feedback and retention strategies.

Of course, I am not sure how/if the mods will respond to this, but whomever is in charge of this effort in corporate - you are screwing up.

This form of Launch Price Gouging is eroding my faith in New Egg as a Customer,

I am an Intel Partner, so I have the MSRP info straight from the horses mouth, the same Way that I had Core I7 Pricing nailed.. 3 mos. before launch.

Newegg, Don't sell my personal info

I'm building a new rig and trying to purchase a cpu ... when I go to the shopping cart I see an addition of 6 "free" magazines added to my order.

According to customer support, there's no way I can purchase the cpu (AMD Phenom II X4 905e item #N82E16819103682) without them also selling my name and address to the magazine publisher.

I don't want junk mail for the next 10 years ... I made that mistake with TigerDirect several years ago and i'm still paying for it.

For this system I won't be buying the gear from newegg.

<rant>I hope this message gets passed on to whatever genious decided it was a good idea to start selling our personal info to magazine publishers. </rant>

Suggestion: Revising reviews

I've noticed that sometimes the NewEgg customer reviews are not actually reviews. Rather, someone will just post a "review" to respond to another reviewer. Furthermore, sometimes a comment is so incredibly ignorant that it needs to go away. I've seen comments with things like "1 out of 116 people found this helpful." An example of this would be the guy who took an egg off his monitor because his desk was too small for it and the keyboard.

Both of these things take away from the value of customer reviews. I suggest 1) reviews stop counting (egg-wise) and the post is greyed out when the "not helpful" to "helpful" ratio is rediculous, say 10-1. 2) Allow for more discussion on a piece of hardware aside from the reviews. This helps people resist the urge to write reviews when they just want to say something to/about another user, and it lets people who aren't/can't review the hardware talk about it. Another option might be a "nuetral" rating. Instead of rating from 1-5, you choose to not have your vote added to the total.

The first is a no-brainer and not too difficult. The second suggestion is more difficult, but might be worth considering in some form.

1. Stop this per-item shipping policy. It's a complete rip-off and you're not fooling anyone. A reasonable person would think that something like a USB stick could just be thrown in with the already ridiculously big box of items you're shipping, but then it adds $5 "shipping" to the total order. That doesn't even make sense and it's slimey And if you're going to do that, list items with their shipping price included like eBay does.

It's just a scam so you can nickel and dime people on the small things, or trick them into getting the lower priced item that doesn't have free shipping. If it's not intended to be a scam, include shipping in all the prices and SORT on it because that's the HONEST thing to do.

2. UPS sucks and they never leave items outside my door and always require a signature. They don't even come the same time every day so I don't know when to leave work early. Have you ever waited at a UPS depot to pick up a package you missed? It's the most depressing thing in the world, and UPS has terrible customer service. I would not mind paying a little more for FedEx service, but the cost is ridiculously high in comparison. I miss the days when FedEx was the free shipping provider. I imagine you must have a lucrative deal with UPS in order to have switched in the first place, so all I ask is that you either get UPS to shape up or consider hammering out some deal with FedEx.
