Can't figure out how to program.

I consider myself moderately computer literate. I know more than some people. I could probably perform clerical work. I can do basic troubleshooting on things like Internet connections and stuff.

But when I try and read online tutorials that try and teach me C++, I can't even get the first page done because I can't figure out what the HELL these guys are trying to tell me! I mean, here's a tutorial I found Google.

You know, you would think that, because it has the word "introduction" in it, it would cater its vocabulary to those who know even less about computers than I do. Apparently not. Here's some phrases that I can find in just the first minute that might as well be saying "The kayfabe boy botched the worked shoot" (meaning it's 100% inside slang and means absolutely nothing to an outsider like me).

Runtime C++ error

I have Familytreemaker 16 running on both a Vista & a Wxp machine and when I try to do a "web search" on FTM16 the search hangs and I get a Runtime C++ error and the browser closes. Can someone help?

Can I uninstall MS C++ files and not disable my system?
