Yet, on a lot of cards, specifically ATIs, I don't see any S/PDIF cable or port. I recently bought a GTS 250 and one of the selling points for me was the S/PDIF port on it (my 8600GTS didn't have one), and I'd always wanted to have audio through my HDMI. So what's the deal with that??? If the card's got an HDMI port, why doesn't it have an S/PDIF on it? How's the audio supposed to go through it?
a decent card for HDTV only, please help me:)

Hi,

I am thinking to buy a new graphic card ONLY for my 40 inches 1080 full resolution HDTV, so i can watch shows on a big screen.

No 3D games or word processing involved.

I have a spare computer for it but it needs a graphic card. It gives me BCCode 124.

I've tried the following things:

A) Replace RAM (4GB OCZ to 3GB Kingston)
B) Replace the PSU (550w Fatal1ty to 600w Rosewell)

I've basically narrowed it down to 2 things, the Motherboard or the GPU. Copy+Paste

Hey, I have a GTX 275 (this)
and I have a problem. Whenever I run a 3d application, the card
downclocks to 400mhz. The stock setting in Precision is 648 core clock
which I oc'ed a little to 700 with memory untouched. About three weeks
ago, whenever I ran a 3d application, the gpu would go from the 301mhz
desktop idle, up to 702, then immediately down to 400mhz, noticeably
decreasing performance. I would have to restart the computer to get it
to not do this, and it would then be fine for an hour or two. For two
or three weeks it was okay until last night.

I was playing
Call of Duty: MW2 and the game froze, screen went black, and it came
back up running at 400mhz, down from 702mhz. I assumed the display
drivers had crashed, which they had. I reinstalled the drivers, same
thing happened. I tried the new nvidia beta drivers with COD: MW2
support, same thing happeed. I tried the original latest non-beta
drivers with Precision uninstalled, same thing happened.

The only thing different between now and when everything was fine is
that I changed the fan speed in my 3d profile from 100% to 65%. I
tried playing stock and OC settings with the fan speed on 65% and 100%
and it crashed the display drivers all 4 times. It started crashing so
bad that all objects in the game were a solid shade of red or black.
By the way, when it downclocks to 400mhz, the fan speed for my 3d
profile stays the same. Like for example if my idle/2d setting is 40%
fan and my 3d setting is 65% fan, when it downclocks to 400mhz it's
still at 65% fan. Any help? Thanks.

CPU - i7 920
Mobo - Asus p6t v2
RAM - OCZ Gold 6GB
PSU - Rosewill Bronze 1000W
OS - Windows Vista 64-bit

Some people said it was the PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182188 but I don't see how a 1000W PSU with a good rating couldn't power a single video card.

I need a new video card, to play World of Warcraft

Right now my current specs are:

2GB RAM

Intel Pentium D 2.8GHz (I think it is dual core o.o)

Radeon ATi x1300 Pro PCIe (it sucks, don't buy it!
