It used to work but I'm thinking it was the latest update that made it more picky. They play fine on my old PSP, and the vids I converted with the ytd that are on the vita now seemed to have been grandfathered in, but I can't add any more.

I'm aware of PSP Video 9, but I don't like the ads and the slew of codecs I have to download for it to work. Does anyone know of any alternatives? If you've downloaded the Guild Wars 2 client once, you probably aren't looking forward to doing it again. That means you want to copy it from the PC on which it currently resides to a PC on which it does not and you want to use something other than your 700k Internet connection...

According to random Internet sources, you can simply copy the GW2 folder (gw2.dat, .exe, and .tmp) to the new machine, run the exe, login, and you're good to go. However, this isn't the whole story. I will tell you the whole story. My story was hashed out using Windows 7 and Vista, but there are no 7/Vista-specific operations used.

You basically have three options for moving your GW2 files from Point A to Point B:

1. Use an external drive.

2. Copy directly over Ethernet using a bridge.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows-vista/Create-a-network-bridge

3. Copy through LAN using workgroups.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows7/Join-or-create-a-workgroup

If you are dumb enough (as in my case) to not bring your mobile hard drive to your LAN party, then you will need option 1 or 2.

1. On Point A (where the GW2 files are), share the Guild Wars 2 folder using properties > sharing > advanced sharing > share > permissions > full control (Everyone)

At this point you should (tantalizingly) *see* the share from your file browser (under 'Network') on the client system (without the files), but you get permission denied errors. That's where step 2 comes in...

2. Back out of sharing and switch to security > edit > add > Everyone > full control

At *this* point you should be able to actually copy/paste from the server to the client. That's where step 3 comes in...

3. From the client file browser, browse to \\[hostname]\Guild Wars 2 and copy/paste the gw2.dat, .exe. and .tmp folders to a Guild Wars 2 subfolder in your user profile folder.

Note: If you try to copy/paste into Program Files, permissions will not allow the .dat to be recognized and GW will start downloading all the files over again.

4. Run the exe and enjoy!
