I plan to purchase the Kodak Easyshare z915 digital camera. I need batteries, memory, and a camera bag.

About the batteries: Which ones would be the best for this camera? I would like rechargeable ones. Do they have to be Kodak or
can I get a cheaper kind that will do the same job?

About the memory: My sister bought a Transcend for her Panasonic and has had no problems. Is the Transcend compatible with
this particlular Kodak camera? How about the Kingston?

About the Camera bag: Newegg is selling a combo deal with this camera that included a Dolica camera bag and a 4 GB Kingston memory card. Does anyone know if this would work with the Kodak z915? Flip customer service to ask whether videos from this camera could be

I've been working on this for months. I have been trying to convert VCR Tapes to DVD. I have a great computer(no problem here). I have tried several analog converters and several software programs. I've used a Dazzle recorder and a unit from Hauppauge. I've got Pinnacle Studio software and others running on Vista 64 bit The quality is just not as good as the original tape. It's far worse. I've tried different disks and everything I can think of. My next thought is to buy a good VCR/DVD combo unit and burn the tapes thru the unit and then copy the DVD to the computer and edit the video and then re-burn it for the final version. Has any one done this? Can you finalize the DVD on the unit and then copy or import the DVD to the computer? Any thoughts on hardware, software, anything??

pembroke

Newer Camcorders: Is Firewire being Phased Out?

I have been doing research on the purchase of a new camcorder as an upgrade to our Panasonic PV-GS15 miniDV. I have researched here at Newegg as well as local businesses and I have found that the newer models do not supply a firewire port unless well out of my price league.

We have found that firewire is a better choice than USB 2.0 for downloading to our PC in terms of quality, especially sound wise. Our SIGII firewire card that we purchased here from the Egg with the Texas Instruments chipset is excellent.

Perhaps I haven't done enough research but I have yet to find a newer model camcorder with firewire which is surprising considering that the newer 800 speed is readily avaliable.

Of course, I won't just be sending things up willy-nilly; I'll do tests at lower altitudes first. But I'm not sure if there's even such software available, and if there is I don't know where to find it.
while i like the 8000's styling better i have read reviews which state the d10 has much better photo quality any comments on this would be greatly appreciated as well as other ideas for cameras

as far as a printer goes i want one with good quality and would like one with a scanner however fax is not important

the hp photosmart c6380 is really the only one i have looked at and it seems to be fine again any comments are appreciated

digital Point n Shoot

I'm getting tired of my Sony DSC-N1 (I know, it's from a while ago, but it did take some good pix).
