Having internet problems with new build

Hi, I just built a new computer and I am having some serious problems with the internet. I can connect fine to most pages like google or facebook, but some pages just won't load at all, like battle.net and gamefly.com.

     My build consists of:

     Intel core i5 CPU

    ASUS P8P67 mobo

    nVidia Geforce GTX 560

    WD Caviar Black 1TB HDD

    ASUS DVD-RW Optical Drive

    Corsair Vengeance 8gb (2x4gb) RAM

    OCZ Fatality 550w PSU

After building I installed Windows 7 64bit with Service Pack 1. Then I updated all my mobo drivers (chipset, LAN, audio, and USB) and GPU drivers. I restarted after each update and installed all the windows updates I could afterward. At this point I still hadn't connected to the internet (all my drivers were on a CD). When I did plug an ethernet cable into the my computer, everything seemed to work fine because I got online on IE to download google chrome and AVG Antivirus. Then I attempted to go to other sites and I discovered the problem.

So far I've tried a lot of fixes. First I switched routers, but that didn't work, so I tried plugging directly into my modem and that gave me no internet connection at all. I switched back to my original router and tried uninstalling AVG, but I still couldn't connect to pages like battle.net. I'm pretty sure that it has to do with either the software or hardware of my new computer because my laptop can get to any site just fine, through both wifi and direct connection.

I'm really at my wits end here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
