Advice on PC build

Hey everyone. This is my first time building a PC. I am a software developer (I usually work in C/C++/C#), gamer, and movie/tv/music buff. Here's a link to my wishlist:

Some notes:
1) I do need a case - any ideas?
2) I'll be running Windows 7 64-bit OS
3) A friend mentioned that I should look at ~1kw power supply; I ran the wattage calculator and it said only 701w for the build I had. Thoughts?

Let me know if there's any other question about what I'll be using the PC for. Thanks for any advice!
