Can you imagine working 60+ hours a week for an entire year without getting paid?.. Then when your first paycheck comes,  the company decides not to pay you, or pay you less than they promised?  Yea, that's Foxconn and that's why people commit suicide over it. 

Perhaps Foxconn and others will get the Nike treatment from the public?

Its just a matter of time. The people will have enough and it will turn ugly. Over the last year we have seen many nations people rise up and stand for what they believe in and they want a better life for themselves and the ones they love. We have it so easy in north america it aint funny. It will be interesting to see what happens over the next lets say 5 years with people who have a government boot on them and seeing what they do. Tyranny can only go so far...Especially when people have access to the internet where they see whats going on around them.At the same time its scary but governments have to realize they are strong because of the people who put them there. They can easily be taken out of office as shown last spring.

China has a growing economy, Egypt and the Middle East as a whole has a stagnant economy, lower living standards to start with and an unemployment level of over 1/3 among those in their teens and early twenties. Not even close to the same thing.

Few people in China are desperately impoverished. And there are plenty of people alive today who remember just how common that was a generation ago. The Chinese are not going to be overthrowing their government anytime soon.

Please get your facts clear, I don’t approve the way Foxcomm manage their employees, but  they get paid for their salary, they ask for a rise and they told them to quit with compensation or keep their job at the actual price. Do you think seriously someone will work a year without been paid ?

so it's seems to be the compensation they don't get, not their full year salary.... but as said "unconfirmed reports"

The truth is that some employees in some small plant, not Foxconn, haven't got payment as promised, so two of them suicided

and more than 400 employees resigned

 This is the truth.

Yes, the boss of this factory should get punished and he has been arrested...

Yes, I was also in Shenzhen recently..  Although I ended up in Shenzhen accidentally because I took the wrong bus from the Guangzhou airport.  The people I met there are very friendly and helped me get to where I needed to go.  It is sad to see people abused by corporations like Foxconn, but it's even sadder to know that these were especially very nice people who had worked very hard to earn money for their family.

I think I saw this over a month ago.
