    "Oops" - EggXpert Webserver

A week ago, I would get this error about 2-3 times a day..

These past few days however, I've been getting it about 6 or 7 times a day!! It's getting worse...

If I refresh the page or press BACK, the error goes away.. Usually, it happens when I click on "Edit" or "Post" but also sometimes when I click on any forums it will also pop-up.. Very strange.. Am I the only one getting this error?

    Re: "Oops" - EggXpert Webserver

I've seen it as well.  My first inclination would be that it's a timeout to the database because it's being hit too much (or a brief period of packet loss).  Either situation can be remedied through various solutions, but it would be on Newegg's end to do so.

    Re: "Oops" - EggXpert Webserver

yep, one thing I have noticed is that the longer I take between the Reply button and the Post button the better chance of seeing the Opps screen there is.

So I type like a mad person and hope for the best.  Then I go back and edit my mistakes after.  Or if I notice I took a long time typing I will cut and paste the post then hit the post button and when the Opps screen pops up on mei I say "hah, hah and hah!  Foiled you beta server!!"  and I paste it in the new reply and post it.

hee hee just being a bit silly there but I do do that. Wink

    Re: "Oops" - EggXpert Webserver

Well, for some odd reason, cut and pasting a post is something I can't do...

It just doesn't work on these forums...No clue as to why...Maybe it is Internet Explorer or something...

    Re: "Oops" - EggXpert Webserver

I've been getting them as well, more than usual.

Whenever I type a post that I feel is going to be long, I type it in word and then paste it into the forum, so that if it errors, I still got the info. Smile

    Re: "Oops" - EggXpert Webserver

The right click "cut" and right click "paste" do not seem to work to well on this site but the classic keyboard shortcuts of the "Ctrl" key and "C" then "V" should work just fine for you.  ^_^

    Re: "Oops" - EggXpert Webserver

I've been getting them also. It's driving me nuts. I'll type out 2 paragraphs worth of answers then it goes 'oops'

Now it says it's an "AJAX" error

    what the heck is that?

If this means what is AJAX: AJAX is a way to make a page pull "new" data from the server without the user ever knowing it. It is a type of web programming. http://www.yahoo.com/ is an example of total AJAX programming.

I have seen these errors every now and then as well.
