    Windows XP Professional _activation loop

I had Windows XP on my new computer and then got a message saying I had to activate it.  I clicked OK and then got a message that it was "already activated."  I clicked OK and then the system logged me off again.

I was told I was in an activation loop and needed to purchase ANOTHER Windows XP with a new Product Key number.  I then purchased another Windows XP Professional from Newegg.  However,  my computer won't let me out of the "activation loop" so that I can install my NEW Windows XP with my new Product Key number.

    Please advise.

You need to boot from the Windows XP CD.

That involves going into the "BIOS" for the PC at startup (before it gets to windows) and changing the "Boot Order" to having the CD before the Hard Disk Drive.

If you are unfamiliar with this, I suggest you have a child or younger family member (free) or a local tech / PC shop  (service charge) do this for you.
