This feat was achieved by taking advantage of the way that Internet Explorer (and other browsers) handle active scripting in the Operating System.

And other browsers?!?!

haha, another consideration is to not browse "untrusted" web sites. If one keeps to main-stay sites, the odds of encountering code that is meant to exploit a vulnerability are low.
