I suppose I could have recommended an HP inkjet but anyone can recommend those.  I like Brother better. 

Personally i like Canon stuffs. LOL...all-in-one printer? u may try this.

The epson mentioned above is a good choice for a printer.  Nice thing is that it uses the 4 inks which saves you money in the long run and also does very nice photos. 

If you were looking for a Canon the MX700 was rated the number 1 all-in-one machine by PC world and I've heard nothing bad about it so far.  Its one of our top sellers.

If you wanted the HP name and reliablility I would check out the J5780.  Its the HP officejet that fits in your price range and a great machine overall.  Again I've heard no complaints

im looking at the EPSON printer and the MX700, either one could be just perfect for me.
