A few days ago the PCI 802.11g wireless network adapter in my computer died. After re-installing the drivers, switching between the Dynex network program and the WNP software, restarting the computer, disabling and re-enabling the network adapter, testing the other wireless computers in my house, etc, I concluded the only way to fix the problem was to get a new card. The last one I bought in a hurry after a sudden and hasty move. This one I'd like to choose more carefully.
So, to cut to the point, I don't need any pointers or help with fixing the card, I could use some pointers with what to buy to ensure I get a new wireless network adapter that performs well and won't die on me after 6 months. I'm not too worried about the price, as long as its a good card. I've been browsing Newegg for some replacements, and each one that catches my eye has some issues that give me enough pause to reconsider a purchase (suspiciously low price, mixed reviews, unfamiliar brands). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
