raid?

    raid?

    I got a couple questions regarding Raid - but first here is my thoughts in my head:


    c:/ ---> vista only [80gig western digital 16mb cache]

    i was going to go with a
    d:/ -- programs
    E:/ music and games

    ?'s are
    1) "2" --- 250gig sata drives -- in raid
    is RAId worth it??

    CPU:amd x2 5600+Sound:onboardPurpose:gamming/general

    HD:?Cooling:4 80mm fansMisc:Thermaltake xaser II case

    What are you trying to accomplish? Redundancy? (2x 250 = 250GB RAID1)

    or Speed/Performance (2x 250GB = 500GB RAID0)

    If you want to have data redundancy I would put two drives in a RAID 0 configuration. If one drive fails you still have your data on your second drive. If you want performance go for RAID 0 but you will be unprotected. I always favor data redundancy.

    You might want to read that again there whitelotus. 

    And if you still don't see what's wrong, this would be a good read for you.
