I like the apple ipods, there each as can be because itunes basically makes everything easy as cake. Im a nerd so I have used in the passd other mp3 players using win amp and other players but ipods are the simpliest in my opinion.in your moms case she can easly press play on the ipod then a screen will pop up, click on artist and pick a artist, and then can select to player a single album or all albums and go. This is how it is for almost all mp3 players, so there not complicated at all. When rippin the vinyl onto your comp save all the music into a folder which can be on the destop or where ever, and then tell itunes to add that folder to your library by click down the file menu and wha la! The songs are then import into itunes and then hook the ipod into a usb port with the cord it comes with and the ipod auto updates itself. Really all mp3 players are easy to use, but in the case of someone wants the comp to do most of the work ipod takes the cake.
By the way once its imported the folder with the music CAN NOT be deleted and should not be move from its location. This is for all music players, and im pretty sure this goes for windows and win amp they all use the same process to import music.
