    Hardware and Vista problems?

Ok, I know for a fact that my motherbord is compatible with vista. Im more worryed about my other hardware being compatible with it. Im more or less new at this computer building thing and it's not the actual build thats got me freaked out but the BIOS and the OS that have got me crossing my fingers. I feel that the setup is ok, but I'm not too sure if it will work with vista?

    Re: Hardware and Vista problems?

I see no reason why that wouldn't work with vista.

The board you're looking at will run DDR2 800 PC6400 RAM you should think about switching out the RAM you picked for 800Mhz it will make a big difference and it won't really change the price, in fact there's so many options for 800 you might find a better deal.

if all the setup is okay, the OS will work well on it.

the BIOS? If everything works fine you don't need to flash your bios, it is risky.

    Re: Hardware and Vista problems?

Well, i think you may want to install an extra two gigs of ram in Vista if you have any games that are graphic intensive like World in Conflict or Age of Conan, or you just run a lot of programs.  My brother and i got out of memory errors all the time when we tried playing those games or had lots of folders or browsers open, but  these problems went away after my friend installed an extra two gigs for us . so it seems that more memory is better for Vista. Besides, my IT friend explained to us that adding more ram to run Vista would allow games to run in memory instead of using the hard drive.

HahStick out tongue our problem has been solved by my IT friend, hope this would help you too.  BTW, Take your time to learn buddy, i am new at this thing too, have fun!

    Re: Hardware and Vista problems?

You computer based on the hardware you said should not have problems with Vista. If you think the problem is cased by bios, you can reset it into default. And if you have more budgets, you should have more memory; its very useful for your computer performance.
