    Newegg's Open Box Zune?

I'm probably going to buy it anyway since it's an amazing deal-- even if I am missing the cable (it being an open box), I can probably buy one cheap somewhere. I mean, heck-- it's a USB cable.

But before I go and buy it (I can't exactly now since it's currently not there), I was hoping for some input from others-- hopefully with experience with a similar open-box product.

I don't care much if it's got some scratches on the case or something as long as it's fully functional and the screen isn't messed up at all. I also don't mind getting the cable if it's missing one or the software, since I can just download it.

All in all, are there any quirks anyone's had with the open box Zune? Saves me $90.

I say go for it. You can even get a spare cable here: http://www.handhelditems.com/zune-zune-data-cables-c-4_4816_5067.html

    Re: Newegg's Open Box Zune?

Ooh thank you. I actually found a link using the wonderous Google (love you, Google) to the product page for that open box Zune-- had to use Google because it's currently a discontinued product on NewEgg so it doesn't show up on the search-- and I read some of the reviews, and it seems that most of the people didn't even realize it was open box in the first place, and none of them had quirks about missing cables or software or it being damaged, so... I'm going for it!

Maybe someone who works for NewEgg can read this and put it back up for sale? You'd make a hundred more dollars... please, pretty please? I want it NOW! ;)

But I'll be really sad if it's discontinued permanently. I'd probably have to kick and scream. It was there-- just a few days ago...

    Anyway, thanks!

    Re: Newegg's Open Box Zune?

I generally stay away from open box, too, but there isn't too much to go wrong with something simple like a Zune. I bought a hard drive open box once... works beautifully... actually looked pretty, too. But open box motherboards, GPUs, CPUs, computers, etc... there's just too much to go wrong and too much that could be missing that is essential (like driver discs and cables and such), so I'd generally keep to the simple stuff for open box-- if I even consider it an option at all.

as i always say, the open box is okay.

i have bought 2 open box items. both of them work well so far.

if you really like it, go  with it and good luck.
