    Sidicas:

^^ I was looking for the Love hina songs in the "L" area and found only one.. I later did a search for "Hina" and found them all.  Awesome! Keep up the good work. I wanna know who is the one who keeps requesting Christmas songs.. wtf, it's June!! lol..

The "Now Playing" page doesn't seem to work for me.. Maybe it's cause I'm using FireFox, I dunno.. But the song listed as currently being played and the number of users listening never changes..

That may be my faultStick out tongue  last nights power outage caused the box to go off.  Then windows thought it was a lovely time to do updates when I turned it back on.  lol  I restarted the stat updater.  So it should be good! to go!  It should automagically update.

Hey DarkAura!  Thanks for checking out the station and the kind words

oh anyone interested...If you have a myspace....:AnimeAMAZE:. does too.  ADV actually tuned in and added AnimeAMAZE as a top friend Groovy

    Re: .:AnimeAMAZE:. Radio

I regret to inform some people, but my mysql host contacted me and said I was using exceeding limits on my request page so in order to avoid getting shut down I had to turn down some rules on the requests.

    New Rules

-Only 5 request per IP every 30 mins and no more than 100 requests per day

So for example, if you request 5 songs you can not request anymore until 30 mins has passed.  since some songs are near 4-5 mins each, 20-25 mins will past for all 5 songs and then you can request again after hearing them.

I'd expect CPU-bound SQL queries to be quite cheap these days..  The page runs a query every time it refreshes right? Then maybe you could try increasing the refresh time on the page? Because sometimes I just leave it sitting in another tab Stick out tongue You don't have your own dedicated computer for streaming the audio? Couldnt' you use that as the MySQL server? Or does it have to be on the host? Could it be google bot / webcrawlers that are hitting the links for request?  I dunno, I've never run an Internet Radio Station before, but SQL queries should be a dime a million if you know what I mean..

I found out what caused it thanks to reports and error logs. I added more Sakura Wars songs, the category list updated and removed invalid entries and rebuilt the entire database.  This is a free mysql host as well.  I would have hosted it here since my connection is still pretty fast but verizon blocks our ports and my friends server is on VerizonFIOS as well so the ports are blocked for him.   I am going to be a little bit more flexible on the request now.  Since I found out what caused it.  I will try to rebuild the database on the localhost from now on, then upload the new tables via phpmyadmin. To Answer some questions:

    1. The page refreashes so that is a query, but its only one table.

    2. I Only have three computers.  One I am on is my main rig and does to much to do anything else, The other one under it is the dedicated computer that runs SAM Broadcaster.  That should not be running anything but the radio station, the Third one is a MAC G3 that is running other backup servers.

    3. Google bots are off those pages luckilly.  As far as I know they are.  lol

    4. Since my mysql queries are on a free host, I can't really complain. lol.

Just wanted to say, thank you.

My music library is very slim, and I don't have much to listen to, but with your radio program I can now listen to much and it does not cost me anything.  And to top that it is of fine quality, such things are uncommon.

    You are awesome!  Yes

I like your broadcast though there aren't many songs I'm familiar with. I guess that means I need watch more Anime (I OK with that). I'm working on a play list of my own. If you like check it out.

    Re: .:AnimeAMAZE:. Radio

    Thanks

I checked out your playlist.  I like nearly every song on there and most if not all of them are on AnimeAMAZE.  The some songs are still from Anime's in Japan and a lot of them, such as Most of the Galaxy Angel songs were never played in the Anime.  We also pride ourselves on having rare songs other stations don't have.  Thanks again for tuning in!

    Re: .:AnimeAMAZE:. Radio

I have run into an issue. I have an application called Resco Radio on my cellular telephone, which allows me to connect to internet radio stations, and it says that it does not know how to interprate the stream. "Cannot create decoder. There is no decoder for the stream." Has anyone else had this issue, or know how i can get around it? Thanks.

interesting.  It is just mp3.  I didn't do mp3pro or anything special.  I'll try to look into this.  I don't know if any services here in VT have that feature yet but I am sure I can find out a possible workaround or solution.Groovy

Sorry to hear. I've had this problem when browsing forums from my mobile. The sad issue a lot of mobiles just have crappy support, proprietary browsers, and crippled interfaces.

Maybe if you give us a little more info about your phone model / carrier / browser type we can help ya out more? Maybe find ya a handler?

Not hte browser that is the problem, i'm trying to directly connect to the stream via the .pls. I am using resco radio, and was unable to connect. I was also unable to connect iwth gsplayer, my other media player. I'm running windows mobil 5 on the EVDO data network, and have no problem connecting to other internet streams.

Hmm well I would give codec suggestions if it didn't seem like such a basic format.

Try to connect to the streams direct address instead of via the .pls if you can.
