Oh ok, I submitted in .wmv as well, I did it twice to make sure and both were submitted successfully, I was just making sure they had my video. Thanks for your input Post07!

I sent my video in a long time ago (before the deadline got pushed) But it took over a week for me to get a confirmation email, so I wouldent count on it.  Also, I had a question.  My friend is also submitting a video today and its having problems going through.  As a backup can he just email to a link to the video hosted on mediafire or something?

Thanks for the info guys I appreciate it, StealthR just to be on the safe side I would definitely do that and tell him to keep trying.... if its not in.wmv he can import into windows movie maker, save and publish the whole video as a .wmv....goodluck

Thanks for the update Post07.  You guys still having problems may want to try the suggestion of submitting in .wmv format.

@Stealth - you can send me your buddy's info (title/user name) & I'll look into it for you Tuesday.  It wouldn't hurt if you wanted to include the link.  I'm going to keep a list of the peeps having problems with the upload.

Hey Ning, I was hoping that you could help me. So, I finished my video yesterday, right?  I sort of spent alot of time on it, and I want to make sure it gets in. 

 

So here's what happened.  I went to upload it at 11:50 PM, 10 minutes before the deadline.  I tried to upload it, but it told me my video was too big.  So I looked at it, and I had mistakenly rendered it at 200 mb!! So I go back and figure out how to render it in a smaller mode, but by the time I did that, it was 12:05.  I was still in the submission window because I had left it open, but when I went to upload my new video that was only 13.6 mb it wouldn't let me, it only said that my video was over the limit.  I rendered it in .mpg, then .wmv, then avi, and tried to upload them all, but nothing worked.  I kept getting the same error message.  

 

so then I rendered a highly compressed .wmv version and sent it to the newegg video submission email address, asking them to please accept my submission still because I had troubles uploading, etc.  I was wondering if it would be possible for you to tell me whether or not that video made it in, and whether or not It would be possible to give them the 13.6mb version, which looks much better.  (I tried sending the 13.6mb version by email, but newegg's inbox rejected it).

Hey Guys, here's a quick update.  For those of you who experienced issues uploading your vids on the 25th, I've forwarded your info to Jas0n (our admin).  There were quite a few instances like this & Jas0n notified the department running the contest & they have been made fully aware.  The recent vids won't be loaded to the player immediately for us to confirm your submissions, so it may be a couple of days before we can get back to you. Most likely, if you didn't receive an error message upon submitting, you should be fine.

**Unfortunately, tomorrow is my last day with the Egg, so you will want to follow up with Jas0n from here on out.

Regarding the Xpert participation gift that we promised, please forward your info to Jas0n so that we can show our love to our Xpert TV commercial directors!  Don't forget to include the following:  

1. "Video Title"

2. "Submitted By Name"

3. Newegg customer number, previous SO# OR the email address you use as your newegg.com login.
