From time to time I will be giving out a new award for exceptionally brilliant replies to posts in this forum. It is the Venture award,named in honor of one of our members who doesn't seem to be around lately. I will call the award the Venny for short.. chico84 was the first recipient. Keep looking for The Venny in a thread near you..

interesting idea, is this something that can happen to more than one person at a time?

Could happen anytime,to anyone. I guess most will be given in the discussion area since that is where the wittiest replies tend to generate from. keep in mind it is only a token of my personal appreciation for a good witty reply and is not an official award from eggxpert.

Some of the newer members who are not familiar with Venture and his biting wit may wish to search for some of his posts to see why this award bears his name..I consider it an homage to a forum legend.

Great idea Volfann!!  Venture's not around??  Too bad, he will venture in from time to time I am sure.....

 

@The Dude,

Why not link to the person who received the Vinny the post that got him/her the award?

I know which post you are referring to (or at least I think I do) but others may not.

EDIT:

And might want to mention people could PM you if they think they found a Vinny. Less work for you :-)

I believe this is the way volfann instigates the Volfann award, starting out with someone else that has a V name and slowly ingraining the award in so it can be named for himself.  Now on the other hand I would just start out naming awards after myself.  The sjr award for superior egotistical narcissism.

I prefer the opposite.  So, in honour of *(to be filled in at a later date as this person has yet to join EggXpert)*, I will be giving out the "Negg" award to the deserving few.  This will pretty much be the opposite of a Venny (I think I read something about brilliant), so it is for the..........ummmm.........special posts out there:

I haven't heard from the V man since he was profiled in the Newsletter and we swapped PMs. I intend to use the award only for those rare little gems that pop up from time to time so as to keep it worthy of it's namesake.

If I put a spell on you would it cause a commotion?  As long as I can see the light lookin' out my back door, I'd feel like a fortune son on my run through the jungle of life.  But someday never comes, its always up around the bend or down around the corner.  Hey tonight could be the night I win this
