    lpj8:
I also have a Canon Rebel XT. Great camera, but the kit lens that came with it leaves some to be desired.

For those of you who want a better lens for the XT, go with a Sigma 70-300 telephoto/macro. two hundred bucks for a great lens. I'd post a link, but I can't remember where I found it. I thought it was from B&H photo/video, but it's not there

Re: What kind of camera are you using?

I own a Canon 30D with an L-type IS telephoto lens. I am extremely happy with it. I have also discovered it is amazingly robust. If you have $2500 or so to burn on a complete rig, you'll be happy with this one.

Re: What kind of camera are you using?

Canon Digital Rebel XT for me. I have the kit lens and f/4 70-200 is all though. I like taking pictures, but lack the experience to spend a lot of money on the hobby.

sony t-30. Not great, but not the worst I've seen either. Next camera will be a low end dslr. Also, gorilla pod has been essential.

Re: What kind of camera are you using?

I'm shooting with a 35mm Nikon FM-10.  I can't afford a high end Dslr, so i still shoot film and get good results.
