well I decided to get a zune and was looking for a good price (below $150)

I was originally gonna get a brown zune from toys-r-us for $127 however they just removed the item from their site

then I saw the zune here for $99 but it is out of stock

does anybody know who long this sale will be and how long has it been out of stock (or did it just happen overnight) ? 

 

I also noticed that for some reason the brown zune is always on sale but the black one is never below $180

I originally wanted a black one but after seeing the brown prices ill settle for it... 

also dont not turn this into "get an ipod thread" , I dont not care for apple or any of the garbage they put out, this is the next best choice for me in line and want to replace this rio cali 256MB flash + 512MB SD

i was curious about this as well, was gonna get one for an early b-day present for myself so any ideas would be peachy

wonder why the browns are half the price?

It's been out of stock for a while now (3 months).  I'm actually kind of mad about that fact that they have left it on there.  I don't even think they have plans to sell it again for that price.  I actually bought it when it was on sale, but had to return it because the tv out didn't work.  They were supposed to give me a replacement but they said they ran out of stock and refunded me the money instead.  I almost wish I had kept the defective one and just fixed it myself!

Also, I have been waiting patiently for the black 30 GB to be in stock again and finally its ETA was today (2/12/2008), but when I checked it still is out of stock and without an ETA.  I'm a little upset with Newegg that they would 1.)keep an 'out of stock' item for 3 months with no ETA and 2.)have an ETA for a product but remove it on the ETA without an update.

I called and they said that the manufacturer pushed the date back (for the black one) and they don't know when it will be.

they might be discontinuing the 30GB soon :/

If you do not mind, you could choose another type MP4 with the same storage capacity and the same color, of  course, more expensive it should be, How do you think about ' Creative' ,there are many Mp4 under this brand on their website, you could have a look

I finally decided that I'll just get the 80 GB one, and waited until the ETA, which was (2/18/08).  But when I checked, the ETA was removed and the item was still out of stock.  I called Newegg and all they said was they don't know when it is coming in.  Newegg is really pissing me off and I'll most likely buy a Zune elsewhere!

 

EDIT:  Now the ETA is on the 23rd.  I have a feeling when I check on the 23rd, it will still be out of stock with either a new ETA, or none at all.

I wouldn't mind discontinuing the 30GB brown, its ugly.

Well, the 80Gb's ETA is 02/28/2008.  I wonder what'll happen...

 

BTW, I bought a new one on ebay for $5 more (including shipping). 

"Out of Stock" again.

 Because this is so interesting (how Newegg keeps doing this), I'll keep updating about the availability of the 30 and 80 Gb black zune.  As of now, there are no ETAs.

so only 2 weeks (that was only shipping)

 

getting the points for it was a different story.... (and no it wasnt one of those pyramid schemes)
