Hello All... Thought it would be nice to talk about this subject, maybe give out some cool recommendations or just plain tell us where you have been to and how it was . Pics are ok too :)

Hmmm... talking about Vacations...I think its time I take mine.  I've been to Miami Florida... Its was too hot for me out there. I walked out of the Airport and walked right back in. My dad looked at me like i was some kind of i***t, but I just couldn't take it at first. I adapted to it after a while.

Nice .. So is Miami the only place you have been too ? Me myself have been to, Mexico, Oregon, Washington, Germany, Italy.. last two when I was about 13.. my bro was stationed in Frankfurt Germany. :) Good times !

No I have actually been to Nevada. I was planning to go to Texas and Monterey, Mexico this year, but I forgot to request in advance.  I might just hold off for next year. I want to take a road trip but I don’t think that is going to happen anytime soon.

Personally I like to take my yearly vacation to the very beautiful and famous Compton, California. I would definitly reccomend Compton to any others users that are planning a vacation in the near future. I have a connect at the local Super 8 if you need lodging assistance. Feel free to let me know so I can put in a call for ya!

Right..... Compton...   I myself try to avoid that place as much as possible but I can't since my best friend resides there.

I wish I can take a year off and travel all over.  That would be sweet.  I think the first place I would go towards is South America. 

Miami sounds nice!! I would be down for that.. 

I guess I haven't really gone outside of this great continent of the US, the farthest I have been is Guadalajara, Mexico to visit family. And I am actually going on a road trip with my Pops to Texas this month, we are going to pick up my Uncle and Grandfather from there and they are going to stay with us for a few weeks. Been to Nevada plenty of times to visit the city that never sleeps. And last year I went to the Grand Canyon for the first time, very nice but it seems to get boring after 20 mins of looking at it.

Wow I want to go to the Grand Canyon!! Let me know how your road trip to Texas turns out... I wa going to drive to Texas and from there to Nuevo Leon Montery to visit Family, but my Dad said NO! He didnt want me to drive out there alone. Boo.

Well...I normally just sit at home and do nothing when I take time off. I rarely go somewhere due to the fact that I am lame. Haha. I've been all over, but not really for vacation purposes. I would highly recommend Europe if you can afford it. As far as the continental US, Boston is a great city. If you are more into nature, visit the Petrified Forest or Crater Lake.

That doesn't sound half as bad.... I might consider that.... stock up on some good movies and just sit at home and watch them all. That sounds like a good Vacation to me. haha

To each his pwn, but one that stands out is Yellowstone.  Some places in there feel like another planet!

Now if I can just get time to slow down during my off time....

The Jack Daniels Distillery is lovely this time of year..I love the smell of sour mash in the morning..

3 friends and I made it it up this last weekend. The weather was very nice. We didn't really see any birds until Sunday when the sun came out. They were roost in the the pines about 12ft off the ground earlier in the day then as the clouds rolled in the grouse moved down to the ground nder the pines and were running. Mary Beth worked her tail off and flushed a couple herself. She flushed one for me yesterday that she actually goosed with her nose to get it to fly. I was looking the other way of course. I flushed one out for Leo. He and Mary Beth flushed one out for 'Ric.
 
Friday Night we had very fresh, free range chicken w/ lemon pepper, roasted onions, acorn squash and french apple pie. Breakfast Saturday we had cranberry and orange zest sweetbread then mountain man quiche. . Had some young venison tenderloin as an appetizer for dinner Saturday night with tender and juicy sirloin for the main course and Blueberry pie for dessert. We skipped breakfast in lieu of hunting on Sunday but we rehashed the leftover mountain man quiche and added red and green peppers, more spuds, sliced up brats and some more cheese and ate till we couldn't move

Been to quite a few places but not many of them for vacation.  Most recent vacation like trip taken was St. Louis.  It was ok.  I did enjoy the Budweiser brewery.  Checked out the Makers Mark distillery which is nice.  My fav place to go thus far is Vegas.  Never been there for a vacation but I enjoy the strip when work sends me.  One of these days I'll check out the Bourbon Trail in KY.

....Come to think of it, next time I take a vacation I'd like to just sit on the couch in my shorts, eat cheetos, drink beer and play video games for at least 2 days.  I don't even want to go to Wal-Mart during that time.

 

I need a vacation.
