was wondering what the crud that thing was all about.

I like the current layout better.  It takes a little getting use to and a bit of customizing but i think it looks a bit cleaner.

I bet it tastes like chicken.

I like the current lay-out. If you could get rid of the 6 second waiting period to post and all the "Ooops" I'd be very happy

We're talking about Newegg, not eggxpert... =P (so I'm not sure what you mean by 6 seconds to post, and OOPS things... =P )

The new design is fine.  The only thing I miss is the listing on the side with all the categories, such as on the Daily Deals page.  I liked how that used to display on the main home page.  I dont really like drop downs that much but it still all works the same so it is good.

    Re: NewEgg.com Website Feedback

This discussion would be moot if Newegg would give the option to have both the old view and new vew.  Most power-users/buyers will prefer the old site better. I wish we could vote with our money spent here (not that this poll will make Newegg take any heed), as I've spent over 30 grand here.

Yes because only those who spend lots of money should get their way...? There is no way Newegg is going to, or should have to spend money to manage two website designs. The current one is fine, you just have to learn how to use it...

I know perfectly well how to use it.............it DOES NOT have the same functionality as the old way, i.e there is no summary view.  I never said for them to maintain two websites.  You can have the summary view without having to have two websites.  And yes............I think my opinion should account more if I spend a c**p load of money here over someone who hardly buys anything.  Why the hell do you think I'm so worked up about it?  If you went to an auto mall and bought a new Viper there, you would expect to get better service than say someone who bought a Yaris right?

I'll still buy from Newegg, but until they put back the old functionality, more of my money will be going to Ewiz.com, ZipZoomFly.com, and other comptittors who have cheaper prices.  The website functionality and service are what kept me loyal to Newegg despite pricing.  They no longer have that advantage.

Hey whatever, it's your money and your choice. Frankly I think you're over-reacting and expecting special treatment, as I assure you there are people who have spent, and will spend more. As for me I love the new layout, once I discovered how to customize the views, I find it just as functional and better looking.

    Re: NewEgg.com Website Feedback

I have seen people around here that spend over $100,000 on newegg.  You dont see them expecting special treatment.

Either way, the new layout is here to stay.  And i dont see any info being left out in the new design.  Like sovetCryptix said, you just need to customize it and its plenty good.

You just don't listen do you?  The problem is that the information presented cannot be viewed in the compact fashion that summary view showed.

Whatever floats your boat.  Have fun spending more $$ and arguing with customer support at other places.

EDIT:  took me a minute but alas i found it.  I started a thread the end of may about how much people have spent.  It is here

Before when I shopped at newegg I would do sort by lowest price, now that it doesn't work I don't think I will be shopping for my upcoming computer build at newegg.

Yeah it does work. I sort by lowest price every day. It's really kind of sad that people complain about something when they clearly never actually tried to get it to work.
