    Newegg Website Changes

OffTopicUp to now I have liked the changes Webmaster has been making, but like I said, up to now. About a week ago they did away with the feature to be able to move more than one Item at a time either into your Shopping cart or Wish List. Say you wanted to get like ten different Thermaltake Case, now you have to bounce back and fourth between the pages of ThermalTake case and the shopping cart to get them all there. Before you able to check the box next to each picture and click the link to move them all at once. Webmaster has deleted this function and replaced it with a Compare link. The compare feature is helpful but I can't see why the best of both worlds can be done here. Webmaster just doesn't seem to be interested in customer issues anymore. If you agree with this post please add to it and send a complaint to webmaster on Newegg.com customer service link. It's really a pain if you want more than one Catagory Item to have to move back and fourth for each one, don't you agree?Rulez

Are you joking? The new website layout was the result of much work and research by NewEgg into customer's usage of the site..  As I recall they were even running a little thing in California where they were paying people $100 or so each to come in and get some feedback on new site design ideas.. They're trying very hard and to accuse them about not being interested in customer issues is just silly.. I've been here for a while and even had quite a bit of interaction with NewEgg site admins and staff and I must say they value each individual customers more than I ever thought was possible for a company..  I've witnessed at least a couple times where a site admin stayed up all night on his own time without pay to try to resolve issues and complaints to make people happy...

Posting this on System Admin Appreciation Day is just a bit mean don't you think? They deserve the day off in my opinion, they really are trying hard and I'm sure the site will change in the future if enough people (such as yourself) give feedback on it..

Yes I agree and you're absolutely right that NewEgg needs more feedback from their customers.

I'll go write my list of 101 things my mother could have done better and then give it to her on mother's day.. (evil cackle) Devil

    Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAID

I never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.

    Re: Newegg Website Changes

Well well well.... where do I begin...

    -smirks evilly-

    1. I am a SysAdmin, and Webmaster... (didn't even know what today was, how crappy.) and I personally love the new setup.

    2. I'm still trying to decipher your explanation of the issue... =S

    3. As Sid said, Newegg does listen, it's almost scary how much they do listen and strive day in AND out to satisfy the customers. Frankly I think a good many businesses and people in general could stand to take a book from the page of Newegg...

    4. I think I'll start on a list of things my daughter does wrong, so I can be ready on her birthday...

Wait, a book from the page of newegg? I guess it kinda makes sense. I like the compare feature. I could swear there used to be one. Maybe they just brought it back?

Stick out tongue Didn't I just say up till now I liked all the changes Newegg has done to the website, it's the fuction to be able to move more than one Item to the shopping cart thats got me in a roar. Go to ATX Cases and choose Thermaltake cases, you get about 3 pages of them, now select a bunch that you like and then try to move them into your shopping cart, can't do this anymore. This is a change webmaster has made and all they tell me is that we did away with it about a week ago. I think the compare function is nice but I believe we can have the best of both worlds here too. For the most Part I really like the site, till they did this.

    Re: Newegg Website Changes

No insults intended, go back and read your posts, like I said, your doing no good or helping here. Aren't you the one that said that you should sit down and make a list of what your daughter does wrong, this is the kind of replies not needed here, people look here for just maybe some help, not wise a__  remarks. Not much of a Professional, if you happen to claim you are.

    Re: Newegg Website Changes

I don't think you understand what I've been saying. The exact thing you are complaining about works fine, I use it fairly often. You just have to figure out how to use it.

In other words... my point is... you're over-reacting.

Oh, and how I choose to interact with you has nothing to do with my business. I don't do business with anyone here. Who I choose to do business with, and how I choose to interact with them is none of your concern. =P
