Wow, once again, a DHL/USPS thread has just taken on a life of its own.

when will people get it? what the method is for, what their alternative is.

IMO, most people post the anti-Eggsaver threads during their "unexpected" 4-7 (up to 10 business day wait.) Most of them are griping before its even due, and they expected the usual 3 day UPS service.

I SAY WE SHOULD LOCK EACH AND EVERY EGGSAVER POST until the item is actually due, THEN WE FREE IT UP if there is a viable complaint.

I mean, it's getting old with these people. Most times, their stuff comes and the thread is moot.

Really, this is becoming like spitting in the wind.

@ sivart7555- No. The three things together: US IP address, US shipping address and credit card in the US all help keep down on fraud.

unless you are going into the computer manufacturing business then you really do not to waste a ton of money and building a static free zone, a antistatic wrist strap will suffice for pretty much everything

some people go a little overboard and buy, floormats, gloves, and a ton of other stuff thats just not needed

Try doing the high/low filter fix and see if that helps (google it)

Might also take a shot in the dark and try upgrading the firmware of your drive.

i just joined the forum recently and just found your post. i'm having the same issue. have you resolved it yet and if so how did you do it? i'm using a lite-on ltr-24102m cd-rw. i've had my dell dim 4400 windows xp sp3 since 2001 and never had an issue until jan. 2009.

What's your budget and what speakers will you be using it with?

Cheapo speakers will work fine with a $30 sound card. High end speakers will shine with a $100+ sound card.

You are so right. But as much as I love my ASUS boards they must share some of the blame on this one. ASUS is the one who contracted with ADI for this product and then failed to deliver a 'fix' when things went south. I can only find one reference to this 'Supreme FX 2' riser card on the ASUS Forum and no answer to that query...maybe it was yours. The whole purpose of this device was to filter out EMI (Electro- magnetic Interference) to be used in conjunction with their ASUS SoundMax onboard sound, and not a 'Sound Card' at all. I believe consumers thought it was, and called it a sound card because it plugged into a PCIe slot, and then they plugged their speakers and other devices into it's ports. The etailers and the retailers who stocked boards with this package were just selling them out as ASUS probably wouldn't take them all back. ASUS packed this thing with alot of boards too. I Googled many many posts on the 'Supreme FX 1 and 2' and most were 2006 and 2007 and only a few in 2008, just to give you an idea. Another bit of failed technology just to drive us all nuts!

Found these which show 1.8 Volts I know it is 4Gb and my OS will recognize less than 4 but if I want to upgrade later I will have the ram.Just want to be sure before I order and then find out I made a mistake.Thanks

CrystalXP has some great skin packs, along with other bundled features. Without the extra features, the skin packs don't use any extra resources from my experience, and they all look good. Just throwing it out there.

G.Skill 1.8v default voltages.I always find it smart to try to get RAM that runs at the same default voltages as the MB you are placing them on.I didn't have to change a thing auto detected right away.And because they are basically equal in voltages if you plan to OC them you can always go up without consequence really.

Point is 1.8vRAM on MB with 1.8v default slots should have no issues whatsoever.

And my avatar is not my machine lol.I do however have a watercooling kit collecting dust I haven't seen any temps that would need the H2O as of yet. : )
