Blue Screen of Death? No problem!

I don’t know much about BSOD error codes or why people get a BSOD besides it could have been a bad driver or hardware failure…But in the November edition of PCWorld magazine, I read about this tech app called “BlueScreenView”. It interprets the BSOD crash data and displays exactly the files or programs that caused the crash like the drivers, or DLL’s.

I find this very helpful for me because sometimes when working on peoples computers, they tell me they experienced a BSOD but I can’t see the information that it showed them during the crash because they rebooted the computer after the crash. So with this tool, it picked up every BSOD crash data record in their system and displayed it to me so I can see what caused it so I can fix it.

ALSO THIS APP IS FREE TO DOWNLOAD!

Here are some snapshots of the app at work.

    Enjoy!

Yes that is a great tool I have used it for about 6 months now.

I don't know much about BSOD error codes or why people get a BSOD besides it could have been a bad driver or hardware failure

That is some part of it, however BOSD can be from just about anything

    1. Virus
    2. overheating
    3. hardware failure
    4. bad OS install
    5. Bad drivers
    6. incompatible software
    7. Bad PSU
    8. Corruption to page file
    9. corrupt *.ini or even *.dll files
    10. IRQ conflicts
    11. This list can go on and on.

Re: Blue Screen of Death? No problem!

Yes there is allot of things that can cause this to happen but thanks to the hex code and part of the BSOD with the underscore and the file showing it helps allot to tell you where the problem is.

Yup IT seems that it is better than MS's windows debugging tool. anyway, dump files are translated. Wink
