Optical out on sound card not working

    Optical out on sound card not working

    I have a xplosion 7.1 DTS sound card.  It seems to work fine using the headphone jack outputs but I cannot get the optical out to work.  Does anyone know how I can get it to work? Is it a driver issue?

     I appreciate any help I can get.

    Have you selected "SPDIF Out" in the Sound control panel and made it your default device?
