I suppose this is more of a rant than a review.. im just really frusterated at the moment. Up until just recently ive only ever ordered from ncix.com mostly because its relativly close to where i live, so shipping cost/times are pretty favourable for me. However, after doing some price checking on different websites for a larger shopping list of mine (computer died so i decided to do a full rebuild) i found newegg to be the cheapest. As far as prices go, newegg seems to be king, i was and still am very impressed. Since atm im without a computer, i decided to use expedited shipping, as its quite urgent i receive these components hastely. I placed my order on wednsday night of last week, and watched it sit at processing order until friday night. At this time i decided to give them a call, i realise its advertised as 1-2 business days processing time, so i wasnt too upset, just curious as to why it was being held up. Unfortunatly, i was told that it had been held up for at least 24 hrs + due to them being unable to verify my phone number. I was not contacted to try and resolve this, nor was any note put on my order status... it took about 30 seconds to verify my number after i called. This really bothered me because had they called 24 hrs sooner, i coulda got it out the door 24 hours faster. But nonetheless, i was happy to see it moving. Tonight, i checked my shipment.. only to find its EXACTLY where it was on friday, it hasnt moved!! Today is not a holiday and its not a weekend, yet my package remained untouched. I contacted customer service a few times, and i was simply reminded that they dont ship on weekends/holiday and newegg expidited shipping can take between 5-9 business days. Really? 5-9 days? thats expidited? Had i known this i would have spent the extra few dollars at ncix and had my package last friday! So frusterated right now!
