Help with mobo for Christmas build

I'm building a computer for my husband for christmas. I'm not very computer savvy so I need help with the perfect motherboard to go along with the following

    intel core i7 920 bloomfield

    windows 7 home edition

    western digital caviar black 640
    corsair dominator 6gb memory
    antec earthwatts 750

Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

some people have suggested the GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

    others have suggested

Foxconn FlamingBlade GTI LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

This is not a gaming computer, as he just does a lot of paperwork along with downloading movies, pictures, and music so it needs to be very reliable if that helps you all make a suggestion on whether or not to buy one of these or a different one. Again like I said before I'm not very computer savvy so please if you make a suggestion be sure it is 100% compatible. Also if you can suggest a optical drive that is compatible and reads and writes cd's and dvd's that will be great...it can also have other abilities like blu-ray or light-scribe but not mandatory.

    Thank you very much
