    About Shipping

    Looking back at all the cases we’ve dealt with on EggXpert, I noticed that there are a lot of posts made about shipping.

    It is so true that there are some problems that can happen during shipping, and personally I feel that shipping is something we don’t have as much control over (compared to our own services), but newegg will always be there for you.

    Here is a thread to share your thoughts about shipping!

    My thoughts firstly, some reasons that might be causing the problems and suggestions for shippers, please feel free to share yours.

    On Oct 13, I ordered a hard drive from new egg. When I ordered, the web page said shipping takes 1-2 business days. It is currently Oct 19 and I still don't have my hard drive. Two suggestions:

    1. Don't say 1-2 business days when it clearly takes more.

    2. Work with your delivery people (in this case UPS) and stay on top of them when they do not live up to their commitments.

    Where the heck are you getting 1 to 2 business days? Thats overnight at its fastest. All UPS is 3 day select. Granted your drive should had at worst, probably shown up today, but lets keep it real. I realize that at times, it may say 2 days, but never have I seen 1 business day.

    is it in shipping? Trackable? Or is it time to call cust service?

    It's so refreshing for a customer to hear that they have "no clue" when they are being solicited for feedback on the shopping "eggxperience". I'm sure this will encourage much more feedback and revenue for your company.

    Bottom line is that I placed my order late on the 13th and I received my item on the 20th.

    Please continue with your customer bashing. I will no longer be reading this thread and possibly this forum.

    Scenario: Customer Orders on the 13th after order process cutoff, slated for 1-2 day order processing, and 3-5 day shipping.

    Day 1: Order processes on Oct 14 2009. UPS/Fed-Ex pick up package at 5:00pm.

    Day 2: First Shipping Day, 15 Oct 2009.

    Day 3: Second Shipping Day, 16 Oct 2009.

    Day 4/5: Weekend, packages do not move,  Non-Shipping Days 17/18 Oct 2009.

    Day 6: Third Shipping Day, 19 Oct 2009.

    Day 7: Fourth Shipping Day, 20 Oct 2009. Package arrives 1 Day Early (3-5 Day shipping means 3-5 SHIPPING DAYS).

    System is functioning as normal. 

    If you think shipping "took too long", call Newegg Customer Service to make sure you are eligible for a shipping refund. (If shipping was free, I'll pay you $0.00 out of my own pocket!)

    If you think you can post inflammatory complaints on a public internet forum and not get called "clueless" by other customers who have a better idea how things work, then DON'T COMPLAIN IN AN INFLAMMATORY MANNER on public internet forums. Folks who are NOT STAFF OR EMPLOYEES post here, and if you want a polite reponse, make a polite post. Blaming other users for Newegg Inc customer service issues is... useless. We don't work for them (unless we have a staff/employee badge).

    On Oct 28, I placed an order before noon and paid for rush processing.

    On Oct 29, seeing that it still showed "charged" and not shipped, I called for status.  They said it had been "scanned" but could give me no more info.

     Today Oct 30, it still shows "charged" but not shipped.  I placed two calls today and Newegg still does not have a tracking number and does not know the shipping status.

    I am a reseller with 43 pages of order history with Newegg.  This is totally unacceptable.  I promised a client a delivery date and have no idea when / if the order will be shipped.

    I need to find a supplier that is less stressful to deal with.

    Sorry to hear this MisterMan.

    Usually it takes 24 to 48 bussiness hrs for newegg to process order and if u choose the rush processing option for the order placed before 12PM PST,  it is more likely that your order will be processed and shipped the same day, but all these are not guaranteed. Since ur order has obviously been delayed now,  I suggest u contact customer service(live chat is open now) asap to have them look into this matter or u can PM DoM_DoM with your order number, he is the egg staff here and would be happy to help u out.

    Just got off the phone from my 3rd call today to Newegg regarding this.  Customer service informs me that it may now be 24 - 48 hours before they receive a reply from your 3rd party warehouse. 

    So, I will have no idea what the status of the order is until next week?  I have no idea whether I should just wait, or try to re-purchase the server locally from another vendor to get it to the client on time.

    I'm afraid my confidence in Newegg is at an all time low.  As a long-time Newegg reseller, I really feel like you let me down.

    I'll go ahead and PM the info anyway and hope for a miracle.
