I installed Windows 7 last week and every now and then my computer making a sound like it is turning off, but it doesn't. From the location of the sound and the nature of it, I suspect one of my HDD's is either stopping or slowing down significantly, but I see no performance issue.
Is this normal? Have other people experienced it? The only other thing I can think it might be is the optical drive, but there's nothing in there. This isn't creating a problem, just a little confusion.
